The Gustavus volleyball team defeated Hamline University on Wednesday night in four games (27-30, 30-20, 30-16, 30-24). The Gusties are now 18-6 overall and 7-3 in MIAC play. With the loss, Hamline falls to 8-14 overall and 0-10 in the conference.
The Gusties were led by junior middle hitter Anne Osthus with 17 kills and senior defensive specialist Sue Dailey added 18 digs and five service aces. Junior outside hitter Tara Houlihan also contributed 14 kills, 13 digs and five service aces to the Gusties’ win.
Coach Kari Eckheart’s squad will have the rest of the week off before facing St. Mary’s in their last conference match of the season on Wednesday night. Start time is set for 7:30 p.m.
