The Gustavus men’s and women’s track and field teams hosted the Lee Krough Invitational on Friday in Saint Peter, Minn. Augsburg, Hamline, Macalester, Minnesota State University, St. Kate’s, University of Minnesota-Duluth, UW-River Falls, UW-Stout and UW-Superior joined Gustavus to compete in the meet.
In the relays for Gustavus, Ashley Cronen, Kim Swanson, Kelsey Becker and Blythe Bittman recorded a time of 49.23 to win the women’s 4×100. The men’s 4×100-meter relay team recorded a time of 42.80 to win the race. The team consisted of Adam Cordes, Matt Wittman, Matt Diercks and Jack Henkemeyer. Caleb Bousu, Matt Wittman, Adam Caulfield and Jack Henkemeyer recorded a time of 3:24.04 to win the 4×400-meter relay.
Individually, Jackie Luehmann won the shot put for the women with a distance of 43′ 3.75″. Adam Cordes won the men’s long jump with a distance of 21′ 1.25″. In the 400-meter dash, Jack Henkemeyer led the field with a time of 49.17.
