Women’s Swimming Team Finishes Sixth at UW-Stevens Point Invite

The Gustavus women’s swimming team finished sixth out of nine teams at the Univ. of Wisconsin at Stevens Point Invitational held on Friday and Saturday. Beth DeLaRosby paced the Gusties with a first place finish in the 50 freestyle race.

The Gustavus women’s swimming team finished sixth out of nine teams at the Univ. of Wisconsin at Stevens Point Invitational held on Friday and Saturday. Beth DeLaRosby paced the Gusties with a first place finish in the 50 freestyle race. The meet included many of the top teams in the Upper Midwest.

Sprinter Beth DeLaRosby turned in two outstanding performances at the meet as she won the 50 freestyle and finished second in the 100 freestyle.

The Gusties also did well in the relays as the 400 yard free relay finished second, while the 200 yard free relay and 400 yard medley relay both placed third.

Final team scores were: UW-La Crosse 851; UW-Stevens Point 745; St. Cloud State 514.5; Carleton 474.5;
St. Olaf 453; Gustavus Adolphus 416; Minnesota State-Mankato 254; Minnesota State-Moorhead 121; St. Norbert 45.
