The Gustavus Adolphus College track and field team will host the seventh annual Lee Krough Invitational Outdoor Track and Field Meet Saturday, April 14 in St. Peter. Field events begin at 10:30 a.m. with competition in the men's javelin, men's shot put and women's hammer throw. Running events begin at 11:30 a.m. with a combined 10,000-meter run and will follow a rolling schedule.
The Gustavus Adolphus College men's track and field team opened its outdoor season Friday, April 6, with a fourth-place finish at the Central (Iowa) Invitational in Pella, Iowa. Hastings College scored 174 points to run away with the team title, followed by Iowa Central Community College (118), host Central (89), and Gustavus (80.5). Alex Zupan won the 1500 and 5000 races to lead the Gusties, who host the Lee Krough Invitational Saturday, April 14.

Gustavus finished with 99.5 points, while Simpson edged Hastings out 183.5-177.5 for the team title. Sophomore Lisa Brown provisionally qualified for the NCAA Division III Championships with a 134-01 effort in the javelin throw, placing second.

The Gustavus Adolphus gymnastics team competed on the road for the first time this season, taking fourth place in the UW-Eau Claire Invitational Friday night in Eau Claire, Wis. Defending national champion UW-La Crosse took the title with a score of 181.900, while Hamline edged the host Blugolds 175.750-174.000 for second. The Gusties posted a score of 170.775 led by Christine Askham's 9.500 on the floor exercise.
The Gustavus Adolphus men's golf team closed out its fall season with a tenth place finish at the Oglethorpe Fall Classic in Flowery Branch, Ga. The Gusties posted rounds of 308 and 307 for a 615 team score. Defending NCAA Division III champion Methodist took the team title after shooting 290-295--585. The 12-team field featured 10 teams ranked in the most recent GCAA/Bridgestone Division III Coaches Poll.
The Gustavus Adolphus men's golf team sits tenth after the first day of the Oglethorpe/Royal Lakes Fall Classic at Royal Lakes Golf and Country Club in Flowery Branch, Ga. Led by Mark Stuckey's 73, the Gusties posted an 18-hole team score of 308. Defending NCAA Division III champion Methodist leads the 12-team field with a 290. Play concludes with 18 holes on Tuesday.
The Gustavus Adolphus women's golf team captured third place Sunday at the Concordia Invitational held at Wildflower Golf Course in Detroit Lakes, Minn. The Gusties shot 325-335--660 to finish 16 shots back of champion North Dakota State (319-325--644) and 11 shots back of University of North Dakota (322-327--649). Sophomore Rachel Roberg (Rice Lake, Wis.) finished second overall after posting a final round 79 for a 36-hole total of 157.
