Men’s And Women’s Nordic Skiing Take Fifth At Saints Hilltop Invitational

Both the Gustavus men’s and women’s nordic skiing teams took fifth place at the Saints Hilltop Invitational hosted by the College of St. Scholastica on Saturday and Sunday in Coleraine, Minn. Each team combined for a total of 70 points – the men earned 34 points in Saturday’s 10K Freestyle and 36 in Sunday’s Classic, while the women garnered 31 points in the 5K Freestyle and 39 in the Classic.

Strong Second Half Pushes Women’s Basketball Past Macalester 71-44

The Gustavus women’s basketball team stepped up its defensive play in the second half of Saturday afternoon’s contest against Macalester for a 71-44 victory in St. Peter, Minn. The win gave the Gusties their eighth consecutive MIAC victory to improve to 9-1 in the conference and 11-2 overall, while the Scots fall to 5-8 overall and 3-7 in the MIAC.
