Men’s Golf In 13th Place At NCAA Championships Posted on May 11th, 2011 by

The Gustavus men’s golf team is in a tie for 13th place after the first round of the NCAA Championships, which is being held at Grandover Resort in Greensboro, North Carolina. The Gusties, who posted a score of 299, are tied with Methodist and UW-Eau Claire heading in to the second round.  Alex Kolquist leads the Gusties individually as he is 21st place with a score of 72.

Other scores for Gustavus included Tyler McMorrow with a 75 (+3), Andrew Oakes with a 76 (+4), Simon Erlandsson with a 76 (+4) and Trevor Gervais with an 80 (+7).

The teams will switch courses for Wednesday’s second round. After 36 holes, the low 15 teams (and the low five individuals not part of the low 15 teams) advance to Thursday and Friday’s final rounds on the East Course.
