Men’s Track & Field Finish Third at the Maverick Invite Posted on February 14th, 2004 by

The Gustavus Adolphus men’s indoor track and field team finished third with 43 points in the Maverick Invite at Minnesota State University on Saturday. Minnesota State Univerisity finished first with 111.5 points, University of North Dakota finished second with 80.5 points, and Augustana College finished fourth with 39 points.

Jack Henkemeyer won the 200 meter dash with a time of 22.58. Henkemeyer also finished third in the 60 meter dash with a time of 7.05. Tyler Miest won the 60 meter hurdles for the Gusties with a time of 8.63. Darin Mays finished in second place in the shot put with a distance of 13.75m. Alex Kestly finished second in the weight throw with a distance of 12.92m.

The Gusties will travel to Minneapolis, Minn. next Friday to compete at the University of Minnesota. The indoor meet is scheduled to start at 5pm.
