Beiswanger and Kes Named MIAC Outdoor Field Athletes of the Week

Madi Kes and Josh Beiswanger were named MIAC Outdoor Field Athletes of the Week, the MIAC announced Tuesday afternoon. 

Herda Named MIAC Softball Player of the Week

Kayla Herda had a 13-hit week for the Gusties, leading the team through a seven-game win streak and five MIAC victories. Herda averaged .591 (13-for-22) with an on-base percentage of .625 in six games, scoring six runs with nine RBI while belting four extra-base hits including her first home run of the season against Concordia on 4/19. For her performance, Herda was named MIAC Softball Player of the Week.

Softball’s Win Streak Ends with Split Against Saint Mary’s

Both the Gustavus and Saint Mary's softball teams entered into Sunday's doubleheader with an identical conference record of 7-5 and a six-game win streak. And, thanks to a MIAC split, both teams left the field with a foiled win streak and a still identical conference record. The Gusties won game one 7-4 before falling 9-4 at the hands of the Cardinals in game two.

Gustie Impress at Lee Krough Invitational

The Gustavus track & field teams hosted the annual Lee Krough Invitational Sunday, and picked up a handful of impressive performances across the board. 12 different Gustie performances earned a spot in the top-five conference list, while Madi Kes made a dent in the national standings. Gustavus picked up wins in 15 running events and nine field events. 

Women’s Tennis Ends Regular Season with 9-0 Win at Macalester

Benton Frayne Named Women’s Soccer Associate Head Coach

Benton Frayne, the Gustavus women's soccer assistant coach from 2015-18, is returning to the program as the associate head coach for the 2023 season. Frayne spent the last four years as the head women's soccer coach at Buena Vista University.
