Women’s Basketball Hangs On For 60-54 Win Over Augsburg

Despite a slow start, the Gustavus Adolphus College women's basketball team was able to come back and earn a 60-54 victory over Augsburg College on Saturday afternoon at Gus Young Court. The Gusties trailed 14-5 after the first quarter, but went on a 21-7 run in the second to take a 26-22 lead into halftime, and eventually earn the win. The Gusties improve to 12-5 overall and 7-3 in the MIAC with the victory, while Augsburg falls to 9-8 overall and 4-6 in the league.

Women’s Basketball Falls In Overtime To Saint Benedict 70-61

The Gustavus Adolphus College women’s basketball team suffered a 70-61-overtime loss to the College of Saint Benedict on Wednesday night at Gus Young Court. The lead went back and forth the entire game, but at the half Gustavus led 29-27. The second half involved much of the same, leading to a 55-55 score at the end of regulation. Saint Benedict pulled through in overtime with a 15-6 run to earn a nine-point victory over the Gusties.
