Volleyball Splits Final Matches at Eau Claire

The Gustavus volleyball team split in the final matches of the Sandy Schumacher Memorial tournament, winning 3-0 over St. Norbert and falling 3-2 to No. 12 UW-Eau Claire. With the win and loss, the Gusties move to 11-2 overall and finished the tournament 3-1.

Women’s Soccer Shut Out by Carleton

SAINT PETER, Minn. - The Gustavus women’s soccer team suffered a 2-0 loss to Carleton on Saturday. The loss was the first in conference play, as the Gusties dropped to 1-1 in the MIAC and 3-3 overall. 

Men’s Soccer Falls to Carleton 2-1

The Gustavus men's soccer team hosted Carleton and took a 2-1 loss on Saturday. With the loss the Gusties move to 4-3 overall and 1-1 in the conference. 

Cross Country Competes Against Strong Field at St. Olaf, Stumbo Claims Individual Honors

The Gustavus men’s and women’s cross country teams both competed in the St. Olaf Invitational on Saturday. The men, highlighted by Andrew Stumbo’s (Sr., Boone, Iowa) first place finish, posted a team score of 95, good for fourth place. The women came in sixth place with 128 total points.

Volleyball Wins Opening Matches at UW-Eau Claire

The Gustavus volleyball team won in its opening round of matches on Friday night in the Sandy Schumacher Memorial Tournament; 3-2 over UW-Oshkosh and 3-0 over Lakeland. With the wins, the Gusties move to 10-1 overall. 

Men’s Soccer Wins 6-1 over St. Scholastica in Conference Opener

The Gustavus men's soccer team opened the conference season with a 6-1 win over the St. Scholastica Saints. With the win, the Gusties move to 4-2 overall and 1-0 in the conference.

Softball Earns NFCA All-America Scholar-Athlete Awards

The National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) recently released its All-America Scholar-Athlete Awards and 11 Gustavus players were recognized. Athletes must achieve at least a 3.5 GPA (on a 4.0 scale) to be recognized as Scholar Athletes.

Women’s Soccer Wins MIAC Opener 4-1 at St. Scholastica

In the inaugural meeting as conference opponents, the Gustavus women’s soccer team defeated St. Scholastica 4-1 Tuesday in the MIAC opener. The Gusties improve to 3-2 overall and 1-0 in the MIAC, while the Saints drop to 0-4-1 overall and 0-1 in the league.

Pedersen Named MIAC Men’s Golfer of the Week

Jacob Pedersen (Sr., Minnetonka) carded a 69-70-74-213 at the Minnesota Golf Classic at Pioneer Creek in Maple Plain over the weekend, tying for the lowest score of any NCAA Division III golfer at the meet. Pedersen and Saint John's sophomore Glavine Schugel both finished at three-under-par, tied for 10th place on the tournament's individual leaderboard.

Embacher, Kes Earn MIAC Volleyball Athletes of the Week

Gustavus volleyball players Hailey Embacher (Sr., Mankato) and Madi Kes (So., Jordan) have been named MIAC Volleyball Defensive and Offensive Players of the Week, respectively.
