Gustie seniors earning a place on this year’s NFF Hamshire Honor Society include Casey Decker (Mapleton, Minn.), Scott Eischens (Sr., Victoria, Minn.), Nathan Hajder (Sr., Rogers, Minn.), Cameron Hufendick (Sr., Minneapolis, Minn.), Hunter Johnson (Cannon Falls, Minn.), Kevin Krohn, Alexander McHugh (Sr., New Prague, Minn.), and Chistopher Nelson (Sr., New London, Minn.).

10th Annual Women’s Hockey Golf Outing Set For June 18

The Gustavus women’s hockey program is set to host its 10th annual golf outing on Monday, June 18 at Le Sueur Country Club. The cost is $125 per person and proceeds will play an important role in supporting the costs of running a successful hockey program throughout the year.

Riding the emotional high of playing in its first postseason game in a decade, the No. 6 seed Gustavus baseball team Thursday upset No. 3 seed Saint Mary’s 5-2 in the opening round of the MIAC playoffs, advancing to the double elimination portion of the bracket. Another solid pitching performance along with timely hits and key defensive stops resulted in the victory.

Alhouni And Whaling To Represent Men’s Tennis At NCAA Singles And Doubles Championships

The NCAA Division III Men’s Tennis Committee has selected the individuals who will compete in the singles and doubles competition of the 2018 NCAA Division III Men’s Tennis Championships and two Gusties have been chosen - Mohanad Alhouni (Sr., Tripoli, Libya) in singles, and Patrick Whaling (Jr., Manakin Sabot, Va.) will pair with Alhouni in doubles.

Swenson Named To Women’s Golf Coaches Association All-Region Team

The Women’s Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) on Wednesday named Gustavus senior McKenzie Swenson (Buffalo, Minn.) as a member of the All-Midwest Region Team. This is the second time Swenson receives the recognition after earning it during her first year as well.

Hartmann Selected To Singles Competition At NCAA Women’s Tennis Championships

The NCAA Division III Women’s Tennis Committee has selected the individuals who will compete in the singles and doubles competition of the 2018 NCAA Division III Women’s Tennis Championships and Gustavus's top player Briana Hartmann (Jr., Owatonna, Minn.) has been chosen as a singles qualifier.

Track & Field Set For MIAC Outdoor Championships This Weekend

The Gustavus men’s and women’s track & field teams are set to compete at the MIAC Outdoor Championships this weekend, hosted by Carleton College. The two-day event begins at 2 p.m. Friday with the men’s javelin and the women’s hammer throw and long jump. Saturday’s events begin at 2 p.m. with the women’s javelin and the men’s hammer throw, high jump, and triple jump.

Baseball Set To Face Saint Mary’s In MIAC Playoff Opening Round

Thursday’s Gustavus baseball game will be the most highly-anticipated contest in exactly a decade. May 10, 2008 was the last time Gustavus played a MIAC postseason game and that streak ends at 3 p.m. tomorrow as the No. 6 seed Gusties (19-16) face the No. 3 seed Saint Mary’s Cardinals (19-16) at CHS Field in St. Paul.
