Women’s Basketball Drops Ranked Matchup 74-66 To St. Thomas

The Gustavus women’s basketball team lost its first game of the season 74-66 to St. Thomas on Wednesday evening. The Tommies used a 29-11 advantage in the second quarter to create separation and fended off a second half comeback to secure the win in a match of nationally ranked teams. No. 12 Gustavus drops to 7-1 overall and 3-1 in the MIAC, while No. 11 St. Thomas improves to 7-1 overall and 3-0 in the league.

Men’s Hoops Suffers First MIAC Loss, Falling 64-51 At St. Thomas

The Gustavus men's basketball was downed 61-54 Wednesday evening at the University of St. Thomas, ending the four-game winning streak to open Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference play. 

Nora Holtan Named CoSIDA Academic All-America

The 2017 College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) Academic All-America Volleyball Teams were announced Wednesday morning and Gustavus junior setter Nora Holtan (Rochester, Minn.) has been named to the seven-member Second Team. The CoSIDA Academic All-America Teams recognize the nation’s top student-athletes for their combined performances athletically and in the classroom.

Women’s Hoops Hosts St. Thomas In Battle Of Nationally Ranked Teams

The Gustavus women’s basketball team hosts St. Thomas at 7 p.m. Wednesday in a high-profile game that pits the 12th ranked team in the nation against the 11th, respectively. The undefeated Gusties are 7-0 overall and 3-0 in the MIAC, while the Tommies are 6-1 overall and 2-0 in the league.

Men’s Basketball Travels To Take On St. Thomas

The Gustavus men’s basketball team is set to continue Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference play, heading to St. Paul, Minn. Wednesday evening for a 7 p.m. tipoff at the University of St. Thomas. Riding a five-game winning streak and a 4-0 start to conference play, the Gusties own a 6-2 overall record, while the Tommies have dropped three-straight and are 3-4 overall and 1-2 in the MIAC.

Klein’s Power Play Goals Leads Women’s Hockey To Sweep Over UW-River Falls

Kaitlyn Klein (Sr., Plymouth, Minn.) tallied two power play goals in the third period, erasing a one-goal deficit to lead the No. 6-ranked Gustavus women's hockey team to a 2-1 victory at the No. 5-ranked University of Wisconsin-River Falls Saturday afternoon for the series sweep.
