After coming off a 5-4 upset of the University of Chicago in a NCAA Regional Final match the past weekend, the Gustavus Men's Tennis team looks forward to facing Middlebury College in its first NCAA Tournament Quarterfinal match since 2009 on Monday. First-year Yassine Derbani (Casablanca, Morocco) is especially excited to face the Panthers as his older brother, Hamid, is a senior leader on the Middlebury squad.

Heidi Carlson Named ITA Central Region Assistant Coach Of The Year

The Intercollegiate Tennis Association announced the 2017 Division III regional award winners on Thursday, with Gustavus Women's Tennis Assistant Coach Heidi Carlson receiving Central Region Assistant Coach of the Year honors.

Hensch And Bahr Highlight MIAC Men’s Track And Field Outdoor Awards

Gustavus men's track and field field thrower Michael Hensch (So., North Branch, Minn.) and Head Coach Dale Bahr highlighted the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Outdoor Awards, Hensch being named the Outstanding Field Athlete while Bahr received Coach of the Year honors, released Thursday.

Men’s Tennis Prepares For NCAA Quarterfinal Match

The No. 21-ranked Gustavus men’s tennis team is set for a National Collegiate Athletic Association quarterfinal matchup on Monday afternoon against the No. 1-ranked Middlebury College in Chattanooga, Tenn. at the NCAA Championships.

Heacox And Willis Earn MIAC All-Conference Softball Honors

The Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference announced its 2017 Softball postseason awards Monday afternoon. Representing Gustavus on the 2017 MIAC All-Conference Softball Team are pitcher/outfielder Hannah Heacox (Sr., Stillwater, Minn.), and pitcher/infielder Jena Willis (Sr., Kalispell, Mt.). Additionally, catcher Emily Carlson (Fy., Burnsville, Minn.) was recognized as an All-Conference Honorable Mention.

Men’s Golfers Garner PING All-Region, Srixon/Cleveland Golf All-America Scholar Accolades

The Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA) on Tuesday announced the Division III PING All-Region Teams as well as the Srixon/Cleveland Golf All-America Scholars and four Gustavus men’s golfers received accolades. Chris Captain (Jr., Rochester, Minn.) and Ben Hauge (Fy., Ramsey, Minn.) were named to the 15-member All-Central Region Team, while Captain, Alec Aunan (Jr., Rock Island, Ill.), and Sam Majka (Sr., Wayzata, Minn.) were named All-America Scholars.

Hannah Heacox Named To NFCA All-Region Third Team

The National Fastpitch Coaches Association released 360 players chosen for the 2017 NFCA Division III All-Region softball teams on Monday, with Gustavus softball pitcher/outfielder Hannah Heacox (Sr., Stillwater, Minn.) earning a spot on the Midwest Region Third Team.

Chatfield, Lewandoski Named MIAC Baseball All-Conference

The Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference announced its 2017 All-Conference Baseball Team on Monday and two Gusties were honored with postseason accolades. Right fielder Josh Chatfield (Sr., Apple Valley, Minn.) and pitcher Casey Lewandoski (Jr., Fairbanks, Alaska) were named to the All-Conference Team, both making their first appearance on the All-MIAC team.

The No. 21-ranked Gustavus men's tennis team defeated the No. 6-ranked University of Chicago 5-4 on Sunday afternoon in the NCAA Regional Championship match at Swanson Tennis Center.

Women’s Tennis Drops Region Title Match 5-1 To Chicago

The Gustavus women’s tennis team’s season came to an end Sunday at the NCAA regional championships, losing 5-1 to No. 9 University of Chicago. The Gusties reached the region title match for the first time since 2010 and finish the season 21-8 overall, while Chicago advances to the elite eight.
