Men’s Tennis Falls Twice On Day Two Of Spring Trip

The No. 19-ranked Gustavus men’s tennis team dropped another two matches Monday during day two of its spring trip. The Gusties were defeated by No. 4-ranked Middlebury College 7-2 and Mary Hardin-Baylor 5-4, moving its overall record to 17-7 on the season.

Deja Vu, Baseball Comes Back For 13-12 Win Over Middlebury

New day, similar story. For the second straight game, the Gustavus baseball team erased a late-inning deficit for a come-from-behind victory over Middlebury. The Gusties won 13-12 after trailing 10-6 to start the sixth inning, but a six-run frame gave the Black and Gold a lead it would not relinquish for their seventh straight victory. The Gusties are now 8-3, which marks the best start to a season since 2006 (8-3), along with the longest winning streak since 2008 (nine games).

Men’s Golf In 11th After Day One Of Wynlakes Invite

The Gustavus men’s golf team turned in a team score of 307 (+19) to stand in 11th of 15 squads after round one of the Wynlakes Intercollegiate Invite Monday at Wynlakes Golf & Country Club.

Women’s Tennis Falls 6-3 To MIT

The Gustavus women’s tennis team opened its spring break trip Sunday with a 6-3 loss to No. 20-ranked Massachusetts Institute of Technology. The Gusties fall to 11-2 with their second straight loss, while MIT improves to 11-1.

Comeback Effort Against Middlebury Good For Baseball’s Sixth Straight Win

The Gustavus baseball team won its sixth straight game Sunday in comeback fashion, beating Middlebury 10-8 to improve to 7-3 overall. Trailing 5-3 in the seventh inning, the Gusties erupted for five runs and held on for a two-run victory.

Men’s Soccer Player Alex Wilson Combines Hard Work On And Off The Field

Junior men's soccer player Alex Wilson (Ashland, Wis.) is a three-year letter winner of the Gustavus men’s soccer team, known for his work ethic on and off the field. Wilson, a double major in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology and Classics, recently completed his Medical College Admission Test (MCAT), pursuing a medical school education. Wilson is well on his way to a medical school of his choice, scoring in the top two percent.
