Men’s Hockey Skates To 2-2 Draw Against No. 7 UW-Eau Claire

For the second time this season, the Gustavus men’s hockey team skated to an overtime tie with a team ranked inside the national top-10 as the Gusties and No. 7 University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire Blugolds finished in a 2-2 draw Saturday night at Don Roberts Ice Rink. The tie moves the Gusties to 1-8-3 overall, while the Blugolds move to 9-1-3.

Gustie Women’s Basketball Downs Saint Mary’s, Remains Undefeated

The Gustavus women's basketball team defeated Saint Mary's University by a score of 49-45 Saturday afternoon to remain undefeated and move its record to 9-0 (4-0 MIAC) on the season.

Men’s Basketball Falls 75-73 At Saint Mary’s

Another second half comeback by the Gustavus men’s basketball team fell short Saturday in a 75-73 loss at Saint Mary’s. The defeat drops the Gusties to 2-4 overall and 2-2 in the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference, while the Cardinals improve to 4-3 overall and 2-2 in the league.

Men’s Basketball Looks To Rebound At Saint Mary’s Saturday

The Gustavus men’s basketball team is set for its third straight Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference matchup on the road as it travels to Saint Mary’s for a 3 p.m. tipoff Saturday. The Gusties enter the contest with a 2-3 overall record and 2-1 mark in the MIAC, while the Cardinals are 3-3 overall and 1-2 in the league. Gustavus most recently lost 69-65 at St. Olaf on Wednesday, while Saint Mary’s lost 99-82 at Bethel on Wednesday.

Men’s Hockey Hosts St. Scholastica And UW-Eau Claire On Parents Weekend

The Gustavus men’s hockey team is set to host Parents Weekend as the Gusties take on a pair of non-conference opponents. On Friday, the Gusties host St. Scholastica at 7:05 p.m. and then on Saturday the Black and Gold take on No. 7-ranked UW-Eau Claire at 7:05 p.m. The Gusties enter the weekend with a 1-7-2 overall record, St. Scholastica is 4-5-0, and UW-Eau Claire is 8-1-2. Gustavus is coming off a loss and a tie against Saint John’s last weekend, while the Saints were swept by Marian, and the Blugolds beat UW-River Falls and UW-Stout last weekend.

The Gustavus Adolphus College women’s basketball team continues Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference play Saturday afternoon, traveling to Winona, Minn. to face Saint Mary's University. The 8-0 Gusties are set to tip off against the 6-2 Cardinals at 1 p.m.
