Softball Splits Day Three At Tucson Invite

The Gustavus softball team split a pair of games Saturday at the Tucson Invitational, losing to UW-La Crosse 7-4 before beating Crown 6-0 to move to 6-3 overall on the season.

Men’s Tennis Downs Division II St. Cloud State 8-1

The Gustavus Adolphus College men's tennis team defeated Division II St. Cloud State University 8-1 on Saturday at Fitness Evolution. With the win, the Gusties move to 13-3 overall.

Kopp Claims NCGA Floor Championship With Program Record 9.85

After becoming an All-American in the all-around Friday at the National Collegiate Gymnastics Association (NCGA) Championships, Alex Kopp (Jr., Wayzata, Minn.) continued to impress Saturday during the individual events. Kopp tied for first on the floor with a program record 9.850, claiming the 32nd national event title in program history. Kopp is the first Gustie to win a national event since Alyssa Cox won the vault in 2003, and first to win the floor (eighth overall) since Molly Nemes in 2001.

Women’s Tennis Victorious Over Division II MSU, Mankato 8-1

The Gustavus Adolphus College women's tennis team came away from its lone Saturday match victorious, as it defeated Minnesota State University, Mankato 8-1. The win moves the Gusties to 10-4 overall in its final competition before heading to Madison, Wis. for the competitive Midwest Invite.

Kopp Takes Ninth In All-Around At NCGA Championships, Earns All-America

Gustavus gymnast Alex Kopp (Jr., Wayzata, Minn.) etched her name among elite company in a decorated program Friday at the NCGA Championships. Kopp placed ninth in the all-around competition to earn All-America honors, becoming the 52nd Gusties to do so, while attaining the 94th All-America award in program history.

Softball Edged By UW-La Crosse 2-1

The Gustavus softball team was not able to hold on to a slim early lead Friday at the Tucson Invitational, falling to UW-La Crosse 2-1 to move to 5-2 overall on the season.

Tennis Teams Back In Action Against D-II Teams This Weekend

The Gustavus Adolphus College men’s and women’s tennis teams each take on Division II opponents on Saturday, with the women set to face Minnesota State, Mankato at 9 a.m. in St. Peter, and the men traveling north to go up against St. Cloud State at 12:30 p.m. The women's match will be available to watch online at the link above.

Baseball Opens 2016 Campaign This Weekend At Mount Marty

Update: Saturday's doubleheader has been cancelled. The Gustavus season will officially begin Sunday. The Gustavus baseball team kicks off its 2016 season this weekend at Mount Marty College in Yankton, S.D. The Gusties and Lancers (6-10) are slated for a doubleheader Sunday at Bob Tereshinski Stadium at Riverside Field.

The Gustavus softball team kicked off its spring trip in Tucson on Thursday with a 6-2 comeback victory over Denison, but suffered its first loss of the season in the second game of the day, falling 9-1 to UW-Eau Claire to move to 5-1 overall.

Alex Kopp Set To Represent Gustavus At NCGA Championships This Weekend

For the second consecutive season, Gustavus gymnast Alex Kopp (Jr., Wayzata, Minn.) is competing at the National Collegiate Gymnastics Association (NCGA) Championships. The College at Brockport: State University of New York in Brockport, N.Y. hosts this year’s national meet, which takes place Friday and Saturday. Kopp is competing in the all-around competition on Friday, and will then compete in three individual events - vault, floor, and beam - on Saturday.
