Men’s Tennis Drops Narrow Match To No. 12 Trinity 5-4
The Gustavus Adolphus College men's tennis team dropped a narrow 5-4 decision to No. 12-ranked Trinity University on Thursday afternoon at Trinity University. The No. 19-ranked Gusties, who played without regular No. 2 singles player Andres Saenz (Sr., Cancun, Mexico) in singles, now drop to 14-5 on the season.
Women’s Tennis To Compete In Midwest Invite Friday & Saturday
The Gustavus Adolphus College women's tennis team is set to compete in the Midwest Invitiational that is being held at the Nielsen Tennis Center in Madison, Wisconsin on Friday and Saturday. Eleven total teams are entered in the tournament draw, including several of the top teams from the ITA Central Region. The Gusties' first round match takes place on Friday at 8 a.m. against Augustana College (Illinois), while remaining matches are to be determined based on tournament outcomes.
Baseball Finishes Tucson Invite With Pair Of Wins
The Gustavus baseball team concluded its spring trip Wednesday at the Tucson Invitational with a pair of wins. The Gusties beat Williams 16-7 in the first game followed by a 5-3 victory over Middlebury to improve to 5-7 overall.
Men’s Tennis Splits Pair Of Matches With Our Lady of the Lake, St. Mary’s
The Gustavus Adolphus College men's tennis team split a pair of matches on its first day of its trip to Texas, defeating Our Lady of the Lake 6-3 and falling to Division II St. Mary's, Texas 5-4. With the split, the Gusties move to 14-4 overall.
Baseball Wins And Loses On Walk-Offs Against Williams, Middlebury
The Gustavus baseball team experienced both sides of a walk-off game Monday at the Tucson Invitational, first losing 12-11 to Williams before defeating Middlebury 10-9 to move to 3-7 overall.
Softball Splits MIAC Opener With Bethel
The Gustavus Adolphus College softball team split its MIAC Opener with Bethel University on Monday afternoon at Ona Orth Complex. The split moves the Gusties to 7-5 overall and 1-1 in the conference, while the Royals are now 6-10 and 1-1.
Men’s Tennis Begins Texas Competition Tuesday
The Gustavus Adolphus College men's tennis teams begins a flurry of Texan competition that will see it play six matches in a four day stretch beginning Tuesday in San Antonio. During their spring break trip to the Lone Star State, the Gusties will continue to see the top-flight competition that they've become accustomed to in recent weeks, as the team will take on three nationally-ranked foes. Softball Begins MIAC Play Today At Bethel
After 10 non-league games and a week of rest, the Gustavus softball team begins Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference play at 3:30 p.m. today in a doubleheader at Bethel University. The Gusties enter the contests with a 6-4 overall record, while the Royals are 5-9.
Track & Field Teams Compete At Point Loma Invite
Members of the Gustavus Adolphus College men's and women's track and field teams competed in the Point Loma Collegiate Invitational on Saturday at Point Loma Nazarene University. More than 20 total teams competed in the meet, which included such Division I and Division II institutions such as Yale and California State-San Francisco.
Baseball Drops Two At Tucson Invite
The Gustavus baseball team suffered two more losses at the Tucson Invite on Saturday, losing 7-4 to Luther and 19-4 to Carthage to fall to 2-6 overall on the season.
