No. 4 Women’s Hockey In Battle Of West Region Powerhouses This Weekend At No. 9 Concordia

The top two teams in the west region will square off this weekend as the fourth-ranked Gustavus women's hockey team takes on No. 9 Concordia this Friday and Saturday in Moorhead, Minn. The Gusties boast a 13-0-1 overall record as the only remaining undefeated team in all Division III, and an 8-0-0 mark in the MIAC, while the Cobbers are 9-2-2 overall and 5-1-2 in conference play.

Women’s Basketball Notches 12th Consecutive Win 70-44 Over Carleton

The Gustavus women’s basketball team cruised to its 12th consecutive victory with a 70-44 decision over Carleton Wednesday night in St. Peter, Minn. completing the regular season series sweep. The Gusties improve to 15-2 overall and 13-1 in the MIAC, while the Knights fall to 2-15 overall and 1-13 in conference action.

Women’s Basketball At Home Tonight Against Carleton

The Gustavus women's basketball team is back at home tonight after two successful road trips to Hamline (83-82 OT) and Bethel (60-38) last week. The Gusties enter on roll after winning their last 11 games in the MIAC for a 12-1 mark in the conference and 14-2 record overall. Their opponent tonight at Gus Young Court, the Carleton College Knights, come into the match-up at 2-14 on the year and 1-12 in the MIAC. Tip-off is slated for 7:30 p.m.

Men’s And Women’s Nordic Skiing Place Sixth At Mayor’s Challenge

The Gustavus men’s and women’s nordic skiing teams each placed sixth at the Mayor’s Challenge in Minneapolis Saturday and Sunday. Marian Lund and Anders Bowman led their respective teams for the Gusties. Lund took 41st in both Saturday’s 5K Classic and Sunday’s 10K Freestyle with a time of 19:39.4 and 26:20.0, respectively. Bowman took 38th place in Saturday’s 10K Classic with a time of 24:46.1 and placed 36th in Sunday’s 15K Freestyle in 36:49.8.

Men’s Swimming & Diving Finishes Runner-Up At Grinnell Invite

The Gustavus Adolphus men’s swimming and diving team battled Grinnell College from start to finish, but in the end, it was the  Pioneers edging the Gusties by 51 points to win the Grinnell Invitational held this weekend Russell K.
