Gustavus Adolphus junior Tom Huepenbecker (Middleton, Wis.) has been honored by the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference as Special Teams Player of the Week for his performance in Gustavus’ 41-27 loss to Bethel on Saturday, Oct. 15 in St. Peter, Minn.

Huepenbecker is currently the second-ranked punter in the MIAC.  He has punted 19 times for a total of 724 yards and an average of 38.1 yards per punt.  He is 3-for-5 on field goals in league thus far, ranking fourth at 60 percent.

The Gustavus Adolphus football team will be back on the field Saturday, Oct. 22 at home against Saint John’s.  Kickoff is set for 1:00 p.m.
