Women’s Cross Country No. 8 In Week One USTFCCCA Regional Rankings Posted on September 13th, 2011 by

The U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) released its week one regional rankings for the NCAA Division III 2011 season on Tuesday and the Gustavus women’s cross country team claimed the No. 8 ranking in the Central Region. The MIAC has a strong showing in the Central rankings as St. Olaf College received the No. 2 spot, Carleton College at No. 4, the College of St. Benedict at No. 6 and the University of St. Thomas ranked one ahead of Gustavus at No. 7.

The Gustie women travel to Northfield, Minn. on Saturday, Sept. 17 where their standing in the regional rankings will be put to test at the St. Olaf Invitational. The women’s 6K race begins at 10:00 a.m.
