Women’s Tennis Caps Home-Stand With Victories Over St. Cloud State And Saint Mary’s

The Gustavus women's tennis team defeated St. Cloud State 8-1 and Saint Mary's 9-0 on Saturday in St. Peter, Minn. The Gusties improve to 8-4 overall and 3-0 in the MIAC with the wins.

Women’s Hockey Finishes Fourth With 5-0 Loss To Middlebury

The Gustavus women's hockey team just could not get on track against Middlebury on Saturday afternoon in the Third Place game at the NCAA Women's Hockey Championship in Rochester, New York. The Gusties trailed 1-0 after the first period and 3-0 after two periods, before ending with the 5-0 setback.

Jenna Christensen scored twice to push her NCAA Tournament total to four goals. 

Furious Third Period Rally Not Enough As Women’s Hockey Falls 5-4 To Norwich

The Gustavus women's hockey team put together a furious third period rally scoring three times, but it was not enough as the Gusties fell to Norwich 5-4 in the NCAA Championship Semifinals in Rochester on Friday afternoon.

Kirstin Peterson Named To Women’s Hockey All-America Team

Gustavus senior defender Kirstin Peterson was named to the American Hockey Coaches Association (AHCA) All-America team today. The announcement was made at the team banquet at the NCAA Women’s Division III Frozen Four in Rochester, New York.

Sara Yungner Named Elite 88 Award Winner At NCAA Women’s Hockey Championship

Gustavus senior defender Sara Yungner (Maple Grove, Minn./Wayzata) was named the winner of the 2011 Elite 88 Award at the NCAA Women's Ice Hockey Championship banquet in Rochester, New York on Thursday night. The Elite 88 Award honors the student-athlete with the highest cumulative grade point average participating at the finals site of each of the NCAA's national championships.

Three Women’s Hockey Players Named All-Conference, Carroll Honored As Coach Of The Year

The Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference women's hockey coaches recently released its 2010-11 Post-Season Awards and Gustie players Kirstin Peterson, Lindsey Hjelm, and Amanda Cartony were named to the All-Conference Team, while Mike Carroll was named Coach of the Year.
