The Gustavus men's hockey team climbed back from a two-goal deficit to tie the game at 2-2 late in the second period, holding on for the tie against MIAC foe Augsburg on Friday in Minneapolis. Gustavus moves to 9-5-2 overall and 3-2-2 in the MIAC, while Augsburg goes to 8-4-2 overall and 2-2-1 in the MIAC.
The Gustavus men's hockey team will battle Augsburg this weekend on Friday in Minneapolis and Saturday in St. Peter. The puck will drop at 7:05 p.m. in both contests. Gustavus enters the weekend with an overall record of 9-5-1 and a MIAC record of 3-2-1, while Augsburg comes in with an overall record of 8-4-1 overall and a MIAC mark of 2-2-0.
The Gustavus men's basketball team snapped its three-game losing streak with a decisive 72-57 win over Saint John's in Collegeville on Wednesday night. The Gusties were led in scoring by Dan Schmidtknecht, Seth Anderson, and Phil Wirtjes as all three tallied 16 points in the game.

The Gustavus men’s and women’s nordic ski teams each sent two participants to Rumford, Maine for the U.S. Nordic Skiing Championships that took place January 5-6. Jens Brabbit put himself in good position to qualify for the NCAA Championships with an 85th place finish in the 15 kilometer classic race.
The Gustavus women's basketball team ran into a buzz saw against Saint Benedict on Wednesday night, falling to 79-62 to the Blazers on Gus Young Court. Saint Ben's shot 55.6-percent from the field in the game, as Amy Stifter led the way with 22 points. Gustavus falls to 5-7 overall and 4-5 in the MIAC with the loss, while Saint Ben’s improves to 11-1 overall and 8-1 in the MIAC.
The Gustavus women's hockey team had not played in over a month, but a solid effort for 60 minutes allowed the Gusties to slip past UW-Superior 2-1 at Don Roberts Ice Rink in St. Peter on Tuesday night. Lisa Tuuri and Allie Schwab scored for Gustavus, which improved to 8-2-0 on the season.
Gustavus Adolphus women’s swimmer Dajana Vidovic has been named MIAC Swimming and Diving Athlete of the Week for her performance in Saturday’s double-dual against St. Thomas and Hamline.
With the wintry and blustery conditions of Minnesota and Gustavus all but forgotten, the Gustavus Gymnastics Team traveled to the hot and humid island of Barbados for a weeklong training trip at the end of December through the beginning of January combining education and service with its training.
The Gustavus gymnastics team came up short in its season opening dual meet against the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater by the score of 179.375 to 163.925 in St. Peter on Saturday evening. The Gusties were led by sophomore Danielle Thibodeau who finished second in the all-around with a total of 33.275.
