Women’s Basketball Falls 93-57 To Division II Augustana

The Gustavus women's basketball team stayed close to Division II Augustana College in the first half on Saturday afternoon, but the depth and strength of the Vikings squad wore the Gusties down in the second half allowing Augustana to pull away for a 93-57 win in Sioux Falls, S.D. Abby Rothenbuehler led Gustavus in scoring with 12 points.

Women’s Hockey Edges Bethel 2-0 To Sweep Weekend Series

The Gustavus women's hockey team used a second period goal by Gracie Olson and a third period goal by Lindsey Hjelm to slip past Bethel 2-0 at Fogerty Arena in Blaine on Saturday afternoon. Danielle Justice posted her third shutout of the season as the Gusties improved to 6-0-0 overall and 4-0-0 in the MIAC.

Kravtchouk Scores Twice As Men’s Hockey Defeats Bethel 5-4

The Gustavus men's hockey team jumped out to an early 3-1 lead and then held on for a 5-4 victory to earn a weekend split with Bethel in an important MIAC series. Ilya Kravtchouk scored twice and added an assist to lead the Gusties.

Men’s Hockey Suffers First MIAC Loss To Bethel 4-1

The Gustavus men's hockey team suffered its first MIAC loss of the season 4-1 to Bethel on Friday night in Blaine, Minn. The Royals got out to a 3-0 lead by the 10th minute of the second period and didn't look back, as Jack Paul scored the first and third goals of the game. Gustavus falls to 4-2-1 overall while Bethel improves to 2-5.

Women’s Hockey Stays Perfect With 4-1 Win Over Bethel

The Gustavus women's hockey team jumped out to an early 3-0 lead and never looked back on its way to a 4-1 win over Bethel on Friday night in St. Peter, Minn. Four different players scored for the Gusties who improved to 5-0-0 overall with the win.

Ahrendt & Ewert Highlight Post-Season Volleyball Awards

The Gustavus volleyball team wrapped up the 2010 season with the team banquet on Monday night in Alumni Hall. Junior middle hitter Angela Ahrendt and senior libero Jenny Ewert highlighted the night’s awards section. Ahrendt earned Offensive MVP honors while Ewert was named Defensive MVP.

Women’s Basketball Wins Home Debut 70-59 Over UW-River Falls

The Gustavus women’s basketball team got its first win of the season by defeating UW-River Falls 70-59 on Monday night in St. Peter, Minn. The Gusties had three players in double-figures as Molly Geske leading the way with 14 points.

Women’s Basketball Falls 70-58 To Wartburg In Season Opener

The Gustavus women’s basketball team suffered a 70-58 loss to Wartburg College in the 2010 season opener on Monday night in Waverly, Iowa. The Gusties are now 0-1 on the season and will face UW-River Falls in the their first home contest on Wednesday night at 7:30 p.m. in St. Peter.

Strong Second Half Propels Men’s Basketball to 95-81 Win Over Buena Vista

The Gustavus men's basketball team opened its 2010-11 season with a 95-81 win over Buena Vista University on Monday night in St. Peter. The Gusties made 9-of-10 free throws in the final 90 seconds of the game to secure the victory. Phil Wirtjes led Gustavus with 21 points.

Defense Holds Early Lead, Football Prevails 23-13 Over Carleton In Season Finale

The Gustavus footbal team used a big first quarter lead to propel them to a 23-13 victory over Carleton on Sunday afternoon on Hollingsworth Field. Gustavus finishes the season 4-6 overall and 3-5 in the MIAC, while Carleton concludes its season 3-7 overall and 2-6 in the MIAC.
