The men's soccer team continued its fine play with a 3-0 non-conference win over Simpson on Sunday afternoon in St. Peter. Junior midfielder Doug Frey turned in a strong performance with a goal and an assist helping the Gusties extend their unbeaten streak to five matches .

The Gustavus men’s golf team struggled in the second day of competition at the 2010 MIAC Championship, falling two places to fifth after shooting a 312 for a two-day score of 618 (+42).

Women’s Soccer Falls To Simpson 3-2 In Double OT

The Gustavus women’s soccer team suffered a heartbreaking 3-2 double overtime loss to Simpson College on Saturday afternoon in a sunny St. Peter, Minn. Simpson tied the match at 2-2 with :33 seconds left in regulation, then went on to score the game-winning goal in double overtime. Gustavus's Ashley Anderson led the team with two goals on the afternoon.

The Gustavus Adolphus men’s golf team is currently in third place after shooting a team-score 306 (+6) in the first day of competition at the 2010 MIAC Championship being held at Bunker Hills Golf Course in Coon Rapids, Minn. this weekend. Saint John’s is the current leader after firing a 294 (+12), while St. Olaf is in second place with a 300 (+12).

The Gustavus Adolphus women’s golf team is in the lead after the opening day of competition at the 2010 MIAC Championship after firing a team-score 327 (+39).

Offense Ignites As Football Defeats Concordia 38-14

The Gustavus Adolphus football team got the offensive spark it was looking for on Saturday in Moorhead, Minn., cruising to a 38-14 victory over Concordia in its first road test of the season. Quarterback Logan Becker scored three touchdowns (2 pass, 1 rush), while attributing for 297 yards of offense, throwing for 256 yards (21-29) and rushing for 41 yards (14 att.) in the game.

Men’s Soccer Ties St. Olaf 1-1

The Gustavus men's soccer team tied St. Olaf 1-1 in Northfield on Saturday afternoon. The Gusties took a 1-0 lead when Ben Ceder scored in the 75th minute. The Oles tied the score just two minutes later when Logan Rathjen tallied the equalizer. Neither team was able to score in the final 13 minutes of regulation play or the 20 minutes of overtime.

Early Surge Lifts St. Olaf Past Women’s Soccer 5-2

The Gustavus Adolphus women’s soccer team fell to St. Olaf 5-2 on the Gustie Soccer Field Saturday afternoon in St. Peter, Minn. St. Olaf hit the net early and often, scoring in the first minute and not looking back.

Ahrendt Sparks Volleyball Team To 3-1 Win Over Waldorf

The Gustavus volleyball team picked up a much needed win on Friday night claiming a 3-1 non-conference win over Waldorf College in St. Peter. Angela Ahrendt had a big night for the Gusties as she registered 18 kills with only one error in 35 attempts for a .486 attack percentage. Set scores for the match were 25-10, 25-20, 19-25, 25-15.
