Women’s Soccer Drops Narrow MIAC Contest 1-0 To Macalester

The Gustavus women’s soccer team suffered a narrow 1-0 loss at the hands of Macalester on Wednesday afternoon in St. Peter, Minn. Macalester midfielder Maggie Molter netted the game-winning goal in the 68th minute to hand Gustavus its sixth MIAC loss of the season. The Gusties fall to 5-9 overall and 1-5 in the MIAC, while the Scots improve to 8-5 overall and 4-3 in the MIAC.

Schenfeld Earns MIAC Golfer Of The Week Honors For Fourth Time This Fall

Gustavus Adolphus women's golfer Katie Schenfeld (Indianola, Iowa) has earned MIAC Women's Golf Athlete of the Week honors for the fourth time this fall. She finished in a three-way tie for third place at the Huskie Invitational after shooting a 76-76-152 (+8).

Alex Kolquist Named MIAC Golf Athlete Of The Week

Gustavus Adolphus men’s golfer Alex Kolquist has earned MIAC Golf Co-Athlete of the Week honors for his second place performance at the Twin Cities Classic on Oct 9-11.

Men’s Golf Battles Back To Take Second At Twin Cities Classic

The Gustavus men's golf team shot a team-low 298 in day three to finish in second place with a three-day total of 893 (+29) at the Twin Cities Classic held Oct. 9-11 at the Elk River Country Club in Elk River, Minn., Links at Northfork in Ramsey, Minn., and Wayzata Country Club in Wayzata, Minn.

Women’s Golf Finishes Seventh At Huskie Classic

The Gustavus women's golf team turned in a two-day score of 323-319-642 to finish in seventh place at the Huskie Classic held at Whisper Creek Golf Club in Huntley, Ill. on Oct. 10-11. Katie Schenfeld was the top Gustavus golfer, finishing in a three-way tie for third after firing a 76-76-152 (+8).

Jeffrey Dubose Named MIAC Offensive Player Of The Week

Gustavus Adolphus freshman running back Jeffrey Dubose has been named MIAC Football Offensive Player of the Week for his performance in Gustavus’s 42-14 win over Hamline on Saturday afternoon in St. Peter, Minn. Dubose carried the ball 21 times for a season-high 202 yards (9.6 avg.) and one touchdown.

Women’s Cross Country Posts Solid Fifth Place Finish At Wartburg

The Gustavus women's cross country team ran in a strong field at the Dan Huston Invitational and finished fifth out of 23 teams. Kate Eggers led Gustavus with an 11th place finish in a time of 23:10.

Men’s Soccer Slips Past Loras 1-0

Sean Sendelbach's first collegiate goal gave the Gustavus men's soccer team a 1-0 non-conference win over Loras on Sunday afternoon in St. Peter, Minn. The win extended the Gusties unbeaten string to six and improved its overall record to 6-3-3.

Men’s Golf In Fourth After Day Two Of Twin Cities Classic

The Gustavus men's golf team is currenlty in fourth place following day two of competition at the Twin Cities Classic. The Gusties recorded a 306 in day one and a 289 in day two for a two-day total 595 (+19). Illinois Wesleyan is in first place with a two-day score of 583 (296-287). Carthage and St. Cloud State round out the top three in second (586) and third (587), respectively. Day two was held at the Links at Northfork in Ramsey, Minn.

Loras Too Much For Women’s Soccer, Gusties Fall 4-1

The Gustavus women’s soccer team had its work cut out for them against No. 8-ranked Loras College on Sunday afternoon in St. Peter, Minn. The Gusties fell 4-1 as Loras’s Kate Young recorded one goal and two assists in the match. Kristin Moen scored the lone Gustavus goal in the 82nd minute.
