Women’s Golf Takes Third Place At Wartburg Invitational

The Gustavus Adolphus women's golf team recorded a two-day team score of 674 (+102) to finish third at the Wartburg Fall Invitational held on Saturday and Sunday at the Centennial Oaks Golf Course in Waverly, Iowa. The Gusties shot a 331 on day two, as UW-Eau Claire shot a 319 for a two-day total of 648 (+76) to take first place.

Women’s Cross Country Posts Strong Third Place Finish at All-American Invite

The Gustavus women's cross country ran well at the 10-team All-American Invitational hosted by Luther College in Decorah, Iowa on Saturday. The Gusties recorded a score of 82 to finish behind first place Luther with 36 and second place UW-La Crosse with 50. Kate Eggers led the Gustavus contingent as she placed second individually with a time of 19:21.

Volleyball Falls To Martin Luther and UW-River Falls At Gustavus Classic

The Gustavus volleyball team just never found a rhythm in its three matches this past weekend and the result was a 0-3 record in front of the home fans at the Gustavus Classic.

Men’s Golf Leads After First Day Of The Augsburg Invitational

The Gustavus men's golf team is currently in first place after the opening day of competition at the Augburg Inivitational being held at Majestic Oaks Golf Course in Ham Lake, Minn. on Saturday and Sunday. The Gusties shot a team score 297 (+9) and hold an eight shot lead over St. Thomas who sits in second with a 305 (+17).

Women’s Golf In Second Place Following Day One At Wartburg Invitational

The Gustavus women's golf team finished day one of competition in second place with a team score of 343 (+59) at the Wartburg Fall Invitational held at Centennial Oaks Country Club in Waverly, Iowa on Saturday. UW- Eau Claire leads with a team score of 329 (+45), while Wartburg College is in third place with a team score of 347 (+63). The 19-team competition will wrap up on Sunday, Sept. 12 at Centennial Oaks.

Men’s Soccer Rolls Past Nebraska Wesleyan 5-1

The Gustavus men’s soccer team halted its two-game losing skid in dramatic fashion Saturday afternoon by beating Nebraska Wesleyan University 5-1 in non-conference play.

Turnovers Prove Costly As Football Falls To Wartburg 27-6

The Gustavus Adolphus football team opened its 2010 season with a 27-6 loss at the hands of Wartburg College Saturday afternoon on Hollingsworth Field in St. Peter, Minn. Wartburg had 432 yards of total offense, compared to 239 for Gustavus. Wartburg linebacker Blake Suckow recorded a game-high 13 tackles (10 solo, 6 asst.). Gustavus falls to 0-1 on the season, while Wartburg improves to 2-0.

Cross Country Teams Take Part In All-American Invitational In Decorah, Iowa On Saturday

The Gustavus men's and women's cross country teams will travel to Decorah, Iowa on Saturday to take part in the All-American Invitational hosted by Luther College. The meet will include many of the top small college cross country squads in the Upper Midwest. The Gusties will be looking to continue the strong running they displayed in winning both the men's and women's races at the Bethany Lutheran Invitational on Sept. 1.

Men’s Soccer Drops Home Opener To Central College

The Gustavus men's soccer team dropped its 2010 home opener to Central College 3-1 on a rainy Friday afternoon in St. Peter. Central jumped all over the Gusties early scoring three times in the first 20 minutes of play and held on for its ever win over Gustavus in the fourth game in the all-time series.

Volleyball Falls To St. Scholastica In Opening Match Of Gustavus Classic

The Gustavus Volleyball team lost a tightly contested match to the College of St. Scholastica by a score of 1-3 (25-22, 22-25, 20-25, 22-25) on the first night of the Gustavus Classic, which was played in the Lund Center in St. Peter, Minn.
