Men’s Tennis Defeats Saint Mary’s, Loses To Kalamazoo

The Gustavus men's tennis team split two road matches this weekend defeating Saint Mary's 9-0 in Winona on Friday and falling to Kalamazoo 7-2 in Milwaukee, Wis. on Sunday afternoon. The Gusties are now 10-8 overall and 6-0 in the MIAC.

Women’s Tennis Tops Saint Mary’s 7-2 To Remain Undefeated In MIAC

The Gustavus women's tennis extended its current win-streak to nine games with a 7-2 victory over Saint Mary's on Saturday afternoon in Winona, Minn. With the win, the Gusties move to 7-0 in the MIAC, tied for first place with Carleton who is also 7-0. Gustavus swept the singles competition, getting all six points asevery Gustavus player won her match in straight sets. The pair of Ali O'Neal and Maria Bryan took one point in the doubles competition, as they improve to 9-2 on the season when paired up.

Baseball Battles Back In Game Two, Salvages Split With Buena Vista

The Gustavus baseball team recorded its fourth consecutive doubleheader split with Buena Vista University on Sunday afternoon in St. Peter, Minn. The Gusties lost game one 6-3 before winning game two 6-5 in eight innings. A two-RBI double by Chad Eul tied the game at 5-5 in the bottom of the seventh inning, and an RBI base hit by Drew Block in the eighth gave Gustavus the extra-inning victory.

Sam Broderius And Janey Helland Record Wins For Women’s Outdoor Track & Field At Manitou Classic

The Gustavus women’s outdoor track and field team registered 14 top five finishes at the Manitou Track and Field Classic held on the campus of St. Olaf College in Northfield, Minn. on Saturday afternoon. Sam Broderius and Janey Helland registered individual event wins for Gustavus at the meet. Broderius won the shot put (41’ 4.25”) and Helland won the long jump (17’ 9.75”). No team scores were kept at the meet.

Women’s Tennis Defeats St. Thomas 8-1

The Gustavus women's tennis team improved to 5-0 in conference play with an 8-1 victory over St. Thomas on Saturday afternoon in St. Peter, Minn.

Men’s Outdoor Track & Field Takes First At Carleton Relays

The Gustavus men’s outdoor track and field team compiled 159.5 points to take first place at the Carleton Relays held at Laird Stadium on the campus of Carleton College in Northfield, Minn. The Gusties registered nine top-three finishes in the track events and seven top three finishes in the field events at the meet. Concordia placed second with 127.5 points, as Hamline rounded out the top three in third with 109 points.

Baseball Splits With #1 St. Thomas

The Gustavus baseball team got a big doubleheader split with #1 St. Thomas on Saturday afternoon in St. Peter, Minn. The Gusties won game one 5-4 in extra innings on an RBI base hit by Tim Miller that scored Andrew Woitas for the win. The Tommies rebounded in game two, defeating Gustavus decisively 10-2. Gustavus goes to 10-11 overall and 3-4 in the MIAC, while St. Thomas moves to 19-4 overall and 6-3 in the MIAC.

Softball Sweeps Carleton, Pushes Win Streak To Nine

The Gustavus softball team extended its conference win streak to nine games by sweeping Carleton by the scores of 6-2 and 4-0 on a beautiful Saturday afternoon in St. Peter. Kate Rentschler's towering three-run home run in the sixth inning broke open a tight game in the opener and then Erin Truebenbach scattered four hits in six innings as the Gusties shut the Knights out in game two. Gustavus is now 18-6 overall and 11-1 in league play.

Pitching Staff Shines As Softball Team Sweeps Concordia 6-0, 12-0

The Gustavus softball team used strong pitching performances from Betsie Collins, Erin Truebenbach, and Callie Nelsen to shut down Concordia 6-0 and 12-0 at the Gustie Softball Field on Wednesday afternoon. Gustavus is now 16-6 overall and 9-1 in the MIAC.

Baseball Drops Game One 5-1, Wins Game Two 8-2 Against Hamline

The Gustavus baseball got its second straight MIAC split with Hamline on Tuesday afternoon in St. Peter, Minn. The Gusties suffered a 5-1 loss in game one, then bounced back to win game two by the score of 8-2. Gustavus moves to 9-10 overall and 2-4 in the MIAC.
