Men’s 4×400 Relay Team Takes Seventh At Drake Relays

The Gustavus Adolphus 4x400 men's relay team consisting of Matt Leeb, Cole Carlson, Colby Citrowske, and Max Hanson took seventh place with a time of 3:12.88 at the Drake Relays held in Drake Stadium in Des Moines, Iowa on Saturday. The four individuals were the only members of the Gustavus men's outdoor track and field team to compete at the Drake Relays. Winning the event was the team from Oklahoma Baptist with a time of 3:09.56.

Men’s And Women’s Outdoor Track & Field Teams Set To Host Drake Alternatives

The Gustavus men's and women's outdoor track and field teams are set to host the GAC Drake Alternative Track Meet at the Gustavus Outdoor Track and Field Complex in St. Peter, Minn. on Saturday. The meet will begin at 11:00 a.m. with the javelin, shot put, hammer throw, and high jump. Track events will begin at 12:15 p.m.

Softball Sweeps Saint Mary’s, Remains In Hunt For League Title

The Gustavus softball team combined clutch hitting with solid pitching to claim an important MIAC series sweep over Saint Mary's by the scores of 3-2 and 4-3 in Winona on Thursday afternoon. Lisa Klass hit a three-run home run to spark the Gusties in game one, while Andrea Brown stroked a clutch two-out single to score Kirsten Prunty with the game-winning run in the fifth inning of game two.

Comeback Win In Game Two Gives Baseball Split With Macalester

The Gustavus baseball team got its fifth consecutive doubleheader split with a 7-3 loss and 4-3 victory with Macalester on Wednesday afternoon in St. Peter, Minn. The Gusties came back from two runs down in the bottom of the seventh inning to win game two and secure the MIAC split. Gustavus now moves to 12-14 overall and 4-6 in the MIAC.

Katie Schenfeld Named MIAC Women’s Golf Athlete of the Week

Gustavus Adolphus College junior Katie Schenfeld has been named the MIAC Women's Golf Athlete of the Week for her performance at the St. Thomas Invitational played at Pebble Creek Golf Course in Becker, Minn. on Saturday and Sunday. Schenfeld finished first individually with a total of 75-73-148 at the meet. Schenfeld's 36-hole total of 148 is the lowest of her collegiate career, besting the 149 she shot last weekend in the Augustana Invitational.

A.J. Olson Named MIAC Men’s Golf Athlete of the Week

Gustavus Adolphus College senior A.J. Olson has been named MIAC Men's Golf Athlete of the Week for his efforts at the Bobby Krig Invitational on Sunday and Monday. Olson finished second individually and recorded the low score for a MIAC golfer with his total of 74-69-72–215 (-1). Olson's second round score of 69 at Le Sueur Country Club on Monday tied for his career best 18-hole round, while his 54-hole total of 215 was the best of his career.

Softball Splits Doubleheader With Augsburg, Drops To Second Place in League Standings

The Gustavus softball team played two nailbiters with Augsburg on Tuesday afternoon and the Gusties managed to win game one 3-2 in nine innings, but the Auggies scored twice in the bottom of the seventh to win game two 4-3. Gustavus is now 19-7 overall and 12-2 in league play.

Men’s Golf Finishes Second At Bobby Krig Invitational

The Gustavus men's golf team fired a 54-hole total of 302-293-290--885 and finished second out of 13 teams at its own Bobby Krig Invitational on Monday afternoon. Saint John's finished first with score of 296-287-288--871. The Gusties A.J. Olson finished second individually with a total of 74-69-72--215 (-1).

Men’s Golf In Second Place After First Day of the Bobby Krig Invitational

The Gustavus men's golf team fired a first round score of 302 and trails Saint John's, which posted a score of 296 at the Bobby Krig Invitational being hosted by the Gusties. The first round was played at The Ridges at Sand Creek in Jordan. The tournament concludes with 36-holes at Le Sueur Country Club on Monday.

Katie Schenfeld Claims Medalist Honors As Women’s Golf Team Wins St. Thomas Invitational

The Gustavus women's golf team continued its fine play with a convincing first place finish at the St. Thomas Invitational played at Pebble Creek Golf Course in Becker, Minn. on Saturday and Sunday. The Gusties posted a 36-hole team score of 316-304-620 to finish 26 strokes ahead of second place UW-Eau Claire.
