Women’s Golf Wins Carleton Invitational, Drenttel Claims Medalist Honors

The Gustavus women's golf team rallied in the final round with a tournament record 313 to win the Carleton Invitational with a 36-hole total of 326-313--639. Taylor Drenttel claimed medalist honors for the second time in three tournaments this spring posting a 36-hole total of 76-77-153.

Women’s Tennis Defeats Saint Ben’s 9-0

The Gustavus women's tennis team got its second MIAC victory of the weekend with a 9-0 win over Saint Ben's on Sunday afternoon at Gold's Gym in Sartell, Minn. The Gusties swept both the singles and doubles competition for the second time this weekend, improving their MIAC record to 9-0 and overall record to 28-10.

Baseball Swept By Bethel 11-10, and 11-6

The Gustavus baseball team suffered its second MIAC sweep of the season with 11-10, and 11-6 losses at the hands of Bethel on Sunday afternoon in Arden Hills, Minn. Bethel grabbed early leads in both games, forcing the Gusties to play catch-up. Tim Miller was 4-for-7 with four runs and five RBIs on the day. Gustavus drops to 12-16 overall and 4-8 in the MIAC, while Bethel improves to 16-14 overall and 4-8 in the MIAC.

Softball Doubleheader With St. Thomas Postponed Again, Re-Scheduled For Tuesday

The Gustavus softball team’s doubleheader with St. Thomas postponed on Saturday, April 24 at 1:00 pm at Gustavus and re-scheduled for Sunday, April 25 has been postponed again and re-scheduled for Tuesday, April 27 at 4 pm at Gustavus.

Women’s Tennis Blanks Hamline 9-0

The Gustavus women's tennis team got a 9-0 victory over Hamline on Saturday in St. Paul. Gustavus remains tied for first place along with Carleton in the MIAC with a league record of 8-0. Gustavus is currently 27-10 overall with a winning streak of ten games.

Men’s Golf Team In Seventh Place After First Round of Saint John’s Invititational

The Gustavus men's golf team posted a first round score of 306 and sits in seventh place after the first round of the 16-team Saint John's Invitational played at St. Cloud Country Club. Saul Menendez led Gustavus individually with a 73 (tie for seventh).

Women’s Golf In Second Place After First Round Of The Carleton Invite

The Gustavus women's golf team struggled a bit on the first day of the Carleton Invitational firing a team score of 326. The Gusties trail first place UW-Eau Claire by four strokes (322). Taylor Drenttel is in first place individually with a score of 76.

Men’s Tennis Defeats St. Thomas and Bethel, Clinches At Least Share Of MIAC Title

The Gustavus men's tennis team defeated St. Thomas 7-2 in the morning inside the Swanson Tennis Center and then moved outside in the afternoon and defeated Bethel 9-0 on the Brown Outdoor Courts. With the two league wins, the Gusties improved to 8-0 in MIAC play and clinched at least a share of the conference title with one match remaining next Saturday against St. Olaf.

Men’s Outdoor Track & Field Competes In Drake Alternative

The Gustavus Adolphus men’s outdoor track and field team compiled ten individual top five finishes at the Gustavus Adolphus College Drake Alternative Meet on Saturday afternoon in St. Peter, Minn. Matt Dvorak and Mark Hartman had the best performances of the day, as Dvorak placed second in the 100-meter dash (11.31), and Hartman took third in the 5000-meter run (15:51.22). No team scores were kept at the meet.

Women’s Outdoor Track & Field Competes At Drake Alternative

The Gustavus women’s outdoor track and field team registered 26 top five finishes at the Gustavus Adolphus College Drake Alternative Meet held in St. Peter, Minn. on Saturday afternoon. Janey Helland, Allyson Voss, Megan Lundgren, and Danielle Burgmeier all tallied first place finishes on the day. No team scores were kept at the meet.
