Men’s Basketball Set To Open 2009-10 Season at Buena Vista On Tuesday

The Gustavus men's basketball team will open the 2009-10 season with a non-conference game against Buena Vista University on Tuesday night in Storm Lake, Iowa. Buena Vista enters the game with a 2-1 overall record, as Gustavus last played on Nov. 9th in an exhibition loss to Southwest Minnesota State University 66-84.

Men’s Swimming and Diving Defeats St. John’s and Luther in Gustavus Triangular

The Gustavus men's swimming and diving team defeated St. John's and Luther College in a triangular held in the Lund Natatorium on Saturday afternoon. Gustavus tallied 1333.5 points in the meet as St. John's (869.5) and Luther (721) finished second and third respectively. Top Gustavus swimmers were Skylar and Whitaker Davis. Skylar won the 200 (1:46.95) and 500 freestyle (4:53.91), the 400 IM (4:18.89), and placed second in the 200 IM (2:04.28). Whitaker won the 1000 freestyle (9:57.15), and placed second in the 200 butterfly (2:03.41) and 100 (49.00) and 500 freestyle (4:56.33).

Women’s Swimming and Diving Take First In Gustavus Triangular

The Gustavus women's swimming and diving team claimed a victory over St. Ben's and Luther College Saturday afternoon in the team's first triangular of the season. Gustavus totaled 1267.5 points in the meet, as St. Ben's took second (1033.5) and Luther placed third (811). Carrie Gundersen was the top Gustavus swimmer with victories in both the 200 butterfly (2:18.11) and 500 freestyle (5:16.80), as well as a second place finish in the 400 IM (4:54.03).

Women’s Basketball Struggles In 69-37 Loss At Augustana

The Gustavus women's basketball team got its season off to a challenging start with a 69-37 loss to Augustana College in Sioux Falls on Saturday afternoon. The Gusties were led by sophomore shooting guard Molly Geske who scored 13 points.

Women’s Hockey Slips Past Bethel 2-1 On Goals By DeNucci and Schwab

The Gustavus women's hockey team scored twice in the second period and rallied for a 2-1 win over Bethel on Saturday afternoon at Don Roberts Ice Rink in St. Peter. The Gusties got the game tying goal from Gina DeNucci and the game-winner from Allie Schwab.

Women’s Basketball Set To Open 2009-10 Season At Augustana (S.D.) On Saturday

The Gustavus women's basketball team will open its 2009-10 season on Saturday afternoon at 3:00 pm against Augustana College in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. Coach Mickey Haller welcomes a veteran team back for the season including all-conference senior point guard Bri Radtke. The Gusties will have their hands full with an Augustana squad that finished 20-10 overall last season and fourth in the NSIC with a 13-7 mark.

Women’s Hockey Team Rolls To 7-0 Win At Bethel

The Gustavus women's hockey team jumped out to a 4-0 first period lead and never looked back on its way to a convincing 7-0 win over Bethel at the National Sports Center in Blaine on Friday night. Mollie Carroll tallied two goals and Lindsey Hjelm registered three assists to lead the Gusties. Danielle Justice picked up the shutout win in the nets for Gustavus.

Martinson’s Four Goals Not Enough As Men’s Hockey Falls To Bethel 6-5 In OT

Gustavus senior forward David Martinson continued his torrid scoring streak as he tallied four goals for the second consecutive game, but it would not be enough as the the Bethel Royals tied the score at 5-5 with 30 seconds left in regulation and then scored the gamewinner with a minute left in overtime to beat the Gusties 6-5 in St. Peter.

Former Gustavus Tennis Coach Steve Wilkinson To Be Honored by USTA Northern Section

The United States Tennis Association (USTA) Northern Section along with Gustavus Adolphus College will be holding a tribute for legendary Gustavus Tennis Coach Steve Wilkinson on Saturday, December 12 at 5:00 pm at the Hyatt Regency in Minneapolis.

David Martinson Named MIAC Men’s Hockey Player of the Week

Gustavus senior forward David Martinson has been named the MIAC Men's Hockey Player of the Week for his efforts in helping Gustavus claim a win and a tie in last weekend's important conference series with St. Olaf.
