Jordan Becker Named MIAC Co-Offensive Player of the Week

Gustavus senior quarterback Jordan Becker (Easton, Minn./Blue Earth Area) has been named the co-MIAC Offensive Player of the Week for his efforts in helping Gustavus defeat Pacific Lutheran University 34-33 last Saturday.

Vander Streek’s Goal Gives Men’s Soccer Team 2-1 Overtime Win Against Macalester

Gustavus senior forward Bret Vander Streek scored in the 103rd minute to give the Gusties an important 2-1 win over Macalester at the Gustavus Soccer Field on Wednesday afternoon.

Women’s Soccer Gives Up Goal In Final Minute, Loses To Macalester 1-0

The Gustavus women's soccer team battled the Macalester Scots to a scoreless tie through 89 minutes, but the Scots' Emily Humphries scored her first collegiate goal with 40 seconds left in regulation play handing the Gusties a heartbreaking 1-0 loss. The Gusties fall to 6-5-2 overall and 2-4-1, while Macalester improves to 9-3-2 overall and 4-2-1 in the MIAC.

Men’s Golf Finishes 11th At Weather-Shortened Twin Cities Classic

The Gustavus men's golf team wrapped up its fall season with an 11th place finish at its own 20-team Twin Cities Classic. The tournament was scheduled to begin on Saturday, however cold and snow canceled the first round. On Sunday, an 18-hole round was played at the Links at Northfork in Ramsey, Minn., but the snow forecast for Monday forced the cancellation of the final round and Saint John's who fired a team score of 289 was declared the winner. Gustavus posted a total of 302.

Women’s Cross Country Team Takes Part in MSU, Mankato Invitational

The Gustavus women's cross country team took part in the Caty Delwische Invitational hosted by the Minnesota State University, Mankato at Land Of Memories Park in Mankato on Saturday morning. The meet was not scored. The course was 4,000 meters and the top Gustavus finishers included Danielle Burgmeier, who placed second (15:47) and Vanessa Jones, who placed third (15:48).

First Round of Twin Cities Invitational Cancelled Due To Snow and Cold Weather

The first round of the 54-hole Twin Cities Classic hosted by the Gustavus men's golf team was postponed due to cold and snow on Saturday. The tournament will attempt to continue on Sunday with 18 holes scheduled to be played at The Links at Northfork in Ramsey, Minn. and the final round will be played at Wayzata Country Club on Monday.

Men’s Cross Country Takes Part In MSU, Mankato Invitational

Football Scores In Final Seconds, Defeats Pacific Lutheran 34-33 On Homecoming Day

The Gustavus football team thrilled a Homecoming crowd of just over 2,000 as quarterback Jordan Becker threw a one-yard touchdown pass to Elliott Herdina with :12 seconds remaining in regulation play giving the Gusties a 34-33 win over Pacific Lutheran University on Saturday afternoon. Becker had a big day for the Gusties as he completed 26-of-41 passes for 310 yards and five touchdowns with no interceptions, while Elliott Herdina had 11 catches for 141 yards and two TDs.

Football Team Prepares To Face Pacific Lutheran For Homecoming On Saturday

The Gustavus football team will play Pacific Lutheran University of Tacoma, Washington for Homecoming on Saturday at 1:30 pm. You can listen to the game on KNUJ Radio 860 AM out of New Ulm, Minn. or you can watch it live through the Gustavus website.
