Softball Clinches MIAC Playoff Berth With Sweep Against Saint Mary’s

The Gustavus softball team clinched a berth in the MIAC playoffs after defeating Saint Mary's 7-0 and 6-2 on Sunday afternoon in Winona. Rachael Click and Julie Mahre provided a one-two punch for the Gusties, as Click delivered two home runs and five RBI in game one and Mahre provided three RBI in game two. Callie Nelsen tallied the win in the first game, while Betsie Collins earned the win in game two.

The Drake Alternative Track and Field Meet scheduled to take place at Gustavus Adolphus College on Saturday, April 26 has been cancelled due poor weather conditions. The meet will not be rescheduled.

The Gustavus men's tennis team defeated Carleton 5-0 in the MIAC Playoff Championship match Saturday evening at the Swanson Tennis Center in St. Peter. The Gusties defeated St. Thomas 5-0 in a semifinal match on Saturday afternoon to get to the championship match.

Women’s Tennis Defeats St. Thomas 5-0 To Claim MIAC Playoff Title

The Gustavus women's tennis team defeated St. Thomas 5-0 in the MIAC Playoff Championship match late Saturday afternoon at the Swanson Tennis Center in St. Peter. The Gusties defeated St. Olaf 5-0 in a semifinal match on Saturday morning to get to the championship match. Gustavus is now 22-8 on the season.

Gustavus Adolphus College plays host this weekend as the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference crowns a tournament champion in men's tennis. The host Gusties captured their 20th consecutive league title and earned the top seed in this weekend's tournament by going 9-0 in league play.

Macalester And St. Olaf Advance To Semifinals Of MIAC Women’s Tennis Semifinals

The third-seed Macalester Scots and the fifth-seed St. Olaf Oles advanced to the semifinal round of the MIAC Women's Tennis Playoffs on Friday at the Swanson Tennis Center in St. Peter. The Scots defeated the sixth-seed Carleton Knights 5-4, while the Oles defeated the fourth-seed Saint Benedict Blazers 5-2.

Lisa Brown Finishes 7th In Javelin at Drake Relays, Shatters School Record

Gustavus junior Lisa Brown finished seventh in the javelin at the prestigious Drake Relays with a career best effort 156 feet, 5 inches. Brown, who was the only non-Division I competitor to finish in the top ten, broke her own school record of 154 feet, 6 inches, by nearly two feet.

Heat Sheets For Drake Alternative Track Meet

The heat sheets for Saturday's Drake Alternative Track Meet at Gustavus are now available to be viewed. The meet begins with field events at 10:30 am and the running events begin at 12:15 pm.
