Women’s Hockey Tops St. Kate’s 5-1; Peterson Becomes MIAC’s All-Time Leading Scorer

The Gustavus women's hockey team closed out its regular season with a 5-1 victory over St. Kate's on Don Roberts Ice Rink. Jessica Doig and Kelly Crandall each recorded two goals for Gustavus. The Gusties end the regular season with a 23-2 overall record and a 17-1 mark in the MIAC. The Wildcats close out their season at 0-22-2 overall and 0-16-2 in the conference.

Men’s Indoor Track and Field Takes Six Titles at Pre-MIAC Meet

The Gustavus Adolphus indoor track and field team crowned champions in six events at Friday's Pre-MIAC Meet hosted by Carleton. No team scores were kept. Gustie senior pole vaulter Josh Sorenson broke his own school record and bettered his NCAA provisional qualifying mark with a winning effort of 15-9 3/4.

Women’s Basketball Advances to MIAC Championship by Beating Concordia-Moorhead 63-52

The Gustavus women's basketball team advanced to the conference championship game with its semifinal win over Concordia-Moorhead by the score of 63-52. After the first half, the score was tied 25-25, but the Gusties outscored the Cobbers 38-27 in the second half to claim the 11-point victory. Gustavus will meet St. Ben's on Saturday for the MIAC Championship game in St. Joseph, Minn at 3pm.

Women’s Basketball Playoff Game Against Concordia Will Be Video Streamed Through Gustavus Website

The Gustavus women's basketball team will face Concordia in a MIAC Playoff semifinal game on Thursday night, Feb. 22 at 7:30 pm in St. Peter. Both audio and video streams of the game will be available through the Gustavus Athletics live broadcast page. The broadcasts will begin at approximately 7:20 pm and Matt Thomas will handle the play-by-play duties.

Women’s Hockey Downs St. Kate’s 7-2

The Gustavus Adolphus women's hockey team moved to 22-2-0 on the season and 16-1-0 in the MIAC with a 7-2 win over the College of St. Catherine Thursday evening at Ridder Arena in Minneapolis. Jessica Doig scored two goals and an assist to lead the Gusties, while Jenny Pusch added a goal and two assists. Kaytlyn Mount scored a pair of goals for the Wildcats. The teams will close out the series Friday night at Don Roberts Ice Rink.

Men’s Tennis Team Hosting ITA Division III Indoor Championship This Weekend

Gustavus Adolphus College is set to host the seventh annual Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) National Division III Indoor Championship at the Swanson Tennis Center in St. Peter, Minnesota. Eight of the top 25 teams in Division III tennis will play off to determine the 2007 ITA National Indoor Champion. Three-time and defending champion Gustavus will defend its title as the #2 seed. 2004 and 2005 ITA Indoor champion Emory University will be the #1 seed.

Women’s Nordic Skiing Takes Fourth at CCSA Championships; Men Finish Sixth

The Gustavus Adolphus Nordic ski teams wrapped up their regular season by competing in the Central Collegiate Ski Association Regional Championships Feb. 16-17 in Ishpeming, Mich. The Gustie women's team finished fourth in an 11-team field with 145 team points, while the men finished 6th of 10 schools with 98 points.

Men’s Basketball Falls to Saint John’s in MIAC Semifinals 87-65

The Gustavus Adolphus men's basketball fell to Saint John's 87-65 in a MIAC Playoff semifinal game Wednesday evening at Sexton Arena in Collegeville. Gustavus, which closes its season at 14-13 overall, was led by a game-high 17 points from Andrew Doble.

Men’s Basketball Advances to MIAC Semifinals With 70-59 Win Over Carleton

The Gustavus Adolphus men's basketball team advanced to the semifinal round of the MIAC Playoffs with a 70-59 win over Carleton Monday night in St. Peter. The Gusties used a 27-9 run midway through the second half to erase a five-point deficit and take control of the game. Gustavus (14-13) will face second-seed Saint John's in a semifinal matchup at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday in Collegeville.

Women’s Basketball Falls to Carleton 72-59 in Regular Season Finale

The Gustavus women's basketball team completed its 2006-07 regular season with a 72-59 loss to Carleton in Northfield, Minn. The two teams battled evenly through the first half, however the Knights outscored the Gusties 14-7 over the final five minutes of the game to post the 13-point victory. Jess Vadnais led Gustavus with 28 points.
