Gustavus Adolphus College senior post Bri Monahan (Hutchinson, Minn.) has been named Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) Player of the Week.

Adam Miron Named Second Team All-West Region by Don Hansen’s Football Gazette

Gustavus Adolphus College senior football player Adam Miron (Princeton, Minn.) has been named to the 2006 All-West Region Second Team as selected by Don Hansen's National Weekly Football Gazette. Miron, an inside linebacker, was also named a First Team All-MIAC selection in November after helping lead the Gusties to a 6-4 record overall and a fifth-place finish in the MIAC with league mark of 4-4.

Men’s Basketball Takes Close Battle With St. Olaf 60-57

Andrew Doble scored a game-high 16 points, including two on a pair of free throws with 1:30 remaining that gave Gustavus the lead for good as the Gusties emerged with a 60-57 win over St. Olaf in Northfield Monday night. The game featured 13 ties and 12 lead changes. Gustavus improves to 8-6 overall, 6-3 in the MIAC and will wrap up the first half of the league slate Wednesday against Carleton in St. Peter.

Mike Hosfield Named MIAC Men’s Hockey Player of the Week

Gustavus Adolphus College senior forward Mike Hosfield (Golden Valley, Minn./Armstrong) has been named Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) Player of the Week.

Women’s Basketball Claims Convincing 80-56 Win at St. Olaf

The Gustavus women's basketball team improved to 11-2 overall and 8-2 in the MIAC with an impressive 80-56 victory at St. Olaf on Monday night. Jess Vadnais led the Gusties with 22 points, while Bri Monahan contributed 19 points and 8 rebounds.

Sarah Koepp Named MIAC Women’s Swimmer of the Week

Gustavus Adolphus College first-year Sarah Koepp (Apple Valley, Minn.) has been named the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Swimmer of the Week.

Men’s Swimming Finishes First at St. John’s/St. Ben’s Winter Invitational

The Gustavus men's swimming team turned in an impressive performance in Collegeville, Minn. on Saturday winning the St. John's/St. Ben's Winter Invite in convincing fashion. The Gusties totalled 1,094 points to finish well ahead of the rest of the field including St. John's (756), St. Thomas (432), and Hamline (239). The Gusties won eight individual event titles and all three relay titles. Sophomore Matt Stewart won the 200 free and 200 fly, while Brian Amundson won the 50 free and 100 free.

Nordic Skiing Competes at Capitol Square Sprints

The Gustavus Adolphus Nordic Skiing team took a break from Central Collegiate Ski Association (CCSA) competition Sunday when it participated in the Capitol Square Sprints in Madison, Wis. Kelly Chaudoin placed third in the women's Olympic Juniors (OJ) division, while Kathryn Ladig placed sixth. Elias Anoszko placed sixth in the men's OJ division, while Sarah Willis placed seventh in the women's SuperTour division competing mainly against touring professionals.

Women’s Swimming Finishes First at St. John’s/St. Ben’s Winter Invitational

The Gustavus women's swimming got the new year off to a great start with an impressive first place finish at the St. John's/St. Ben's Winter Invitational which took place in Collegeville, Minnesota on Saturday. The Gusties were led by Sarah Koepp who finished first in both the 100 and 200 breaststroke and swam a leg of the winning 400 medley relay.

Men’s Hockey Defeats UW-Stevens Point 6-3 For Sixth Straight Victory

The Gustavus men's hockey team scored three times in the second period to build its lead to 4-2 and then held on for a 6-3 win over the University of Wisconsin at Stevens Point on Saturday night in St. Peter. John Arundel totalled two goals and one assist and Steven Jensen tallied one goal and two assists to lead the Gusties.
