Loren Havemeier Named MIAC Men’s Hockey Player of the Week

Gustavus Adolphus College junior forward Loren Havemeier (Sleepy Eye, Minn.) has been named the MIAC Men's Hockey Player of the Week for November 22-28. Havemeier scored three goals and recorded an assist at the Babson Thanksgiving Tournament.

Men’s Hockey Defeats Babson 6-4, to Claim Babson Invitational Title

The Gustavus men's hockey team defeated host Babson 6-4 to claim the championship at the Babson Invitational Tournament. The Gusties were led by Loren Havemeier who tallied a hat trick in the contest. Havemeier was named MVP of the tournament.

Men’s Basketball Falls to Carthage 57-56

The Gustavus men's basketball team lost a heartbreaker to Carthage College 57-56 on Sunday afternoon. Kevin Menard hit a jumper with :15 left to give the Redmen the one-point victory in St. Peter. The Gusties Doug Espenson led all scorers with 19 points.

The Gustavus women's basketball team lost to Washington University 68-53 in the championship game of the McWilliams Classic hosted by Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri. Bri Monahan led the Gusties in scoring with 20 points.

The Gustavus women's basketball team defeated Millsaps College 61-53 on Saturday afternoon in the opening game of the McWilliams Classic in St. Louis, Missouri. Sophomore post Bri Monahan led all scorers with 20 points.

Men’s Hockey Defeats Skidmore 8-1 in Babson Tournament

The Gustavus men's hockey team defeated Skidmore 8-1 in the first round of the Babson Invitational in Boston, Massachusetts. Jon Keseley led the Gusties with two goals. Gustavus will face host Babson in the tournament championship on Sunday at 4 pm.
