Five Gustavus Student Athletes Receive CoSIDA Academic All-America Honors

Five Gustavus student athletes have been named to Academic All-America teams sponsored by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA). The five include Luke Benoit, Neil Johnson, Stephen Handler, Amanda Parker and Ben Sherer.

Men’s Golf Coach Scott Moe Named National Coach of the Year

Gustavus Adolphus College men's golf coach Scott Moe has been named Division III National Coach of the Year by the Golf Coaches Association of America.

Gustavus Finishes 10th in NACDA Directors’ Cup Standings

The National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics (NACDA) announced the final totals for the 2003-04 United States Sports Academy Directors' Cup and Gustavus finished 10th out of 430 competing Division III institutions.

Gustavus Set to Induct Eight New Members into Athletics Hall of Fame

The Gustavus Athletics Department has chosen eight individuals for induction into its Athletics Hall of Fame. The 2004 inductees include Lori Allen, Jim Chalin, Bruce Edwards, Barb Jaeger, Dean Kraus, Pachi Lopez, Greg Peterson and Gary Reinholtz.

Chaska Cubs Sponsor MIAC Night on July 16

The Chaska Cubs baseball team is sponsoring MIAC night when the squad faces Rochester on July 16 at 7:30 pm. Any fan wearing clothing from a MIAC institution will be admitted free of charge. Stiftungfest burgers will also be served.

Volleyball Takes Trip to Italy

The Gustavus volleyball team will travel to Italy to play four spring matches against competitive Italian teams. The Gusties will leave June 7 and return June 15 and will visit Milan, Lake Region of Como, Venice, Montecatini, Florence and Rome.

Women’s Tennis Ranked Fifth in the Nation by the ITA

The ITA announced the final rankings for the 2003-2004 season on May 31st. The Gustavus women's tennis team ended the year ranked fifth in the nation and had two doubles teams and two individuals ranked nationally by the ITA.

Men's golf player Luke Benoit (Faribault, Minn.) has been selected by the College Sporting News website as one of the MIAC's outstanding student athletes.

Men's golf player Neil Johnson (River Falls, Wisc.) has been selected by the College Sporting News website as one of the MIAC's oustanding student athletes.

Molly Biehn Chosen for MIAC Profile of Excellence

Senior women's softball player Molly Biehn (Mankato, MN) has been selected by the College Sporting News website as one of the MIAC's outstanding athletes.
