Holiday’s 77 Helps Gustavus Hold Down Second Place After First Day of NCAA Tournament

Rikka Holiday picked a good time to equal her career best score of 77 as she helped the Gusties finish in second place after the first day of the 2011 NCAA Championships, which are being held at Mission Inn Resort in Howie-In-The-Hills, Florida.

Women’s Golf Poised To Play in NCAA Championships on Tuesday

The Gustavus women's golf team, which automatically qualified for the 2011 NCAA Championships by virtue of winning the MIAC Championship last October, will be making its sixth consecutive appearance at the national meet. The women's championship will take place at Mission Inn Resort and Club in Howey-In-The-Hills, Florida, May 10-13.

Women’s Golf Wins Weather Shortened UW-Eau Claire Invitational

The Gustavus women's golf team wrapped up its 2011 spring regular season by winning the UW-Eau Claire Invitational, which was played at Wild Ridge Golf Course in Eau Claire, Wis. The Gusties posted an 18-hole total of 334 to finish ahead of host UW-Eau Claire (336) by two shots. Individually, Gustavus was led by junior Ann Jackson who finished in a tie for fourth with a score of 82.

Women’s Golf Wins Carleton Invitatonal

The Gustavus women's golf team recorded a final round score of 322 to win the Carleton Invitational in Northfield on Saturday. Individually, Gustavus was led by Taylor Drenttel who placed second with a total of 81-79--160.

Women’s Golf Wins Weather Shortened St. Thomas Invite

The Gustavus women's golf team finished first at the St. Thomas Invitational on Sunday with an 18-hole total of 320. Individually, Katie Schenfeld finished first with a four-over par total of 76 and Taylor Drenttel finished second with a total of 77.

Women’s Golf Finishes Third At Augustana Invitational

The Gustavus women's golf team posted a third place finish out of 14 teams at the Augustana Invitational, which was played on Saturday and Sunday at Elmwood Golf Course in Sioux Falls, S.D. Individually, Gustavus was led by Ann Jackson (76-82) and Kate Schenfeld (76-82) who tied for fifth at 158.

Women’s Golf Ranked #8 In Most Recent National Golf Coaches Association Poll

The Gustavus women's golf team will enter the spring season ranked eighth in the country, according to the Golf World/National Golf Coaches Association (NGCA) Division III Coaches' Poll.

Four Women’s Golfers Named to Academic All-Conference Team

The Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference announced its 2010 Fall Academic All-Conference team this week and four Gustavus golfers were named to the academic honor squad. That group included Kayleigh Dittes,Taylor Drenttel, Ann Jackson and Katie Schenfeld.

Katie Schenfeld and Taylor Drenttel Set To Play in NGCA Women’s Collegiate Team Championship In Atlanta

Gustavus golfers Kate Schenfeld and Taylor Drenttel will take part in the 1st Annual Hooters Women’s Collegiate Team Championship, will begin Tuesday, August 3 in Atlanta, Georgia. The tournament will consist of fifty-five (55) two-person teams including many of the top players in women’s collegiate golf. Each team will pair players from the same university in a 54-hole stroke play event.

Women’s Golf Ranks Third Nationally In All-Scholar Team Grade Point Average

The National Golf Coaches Association (NGCA) announced the 2009-10 All-Scholar Team GPA Award rankings Monday, July 19. The Gustavus Adolphus Women’s Golf Team placed third with a team grade point average (GPA) of 3.714. This marks the second straight year the Gusties have ranked in the top 25 and the first time the Gusties have placed in the top five in team GPA.
