Women’s Tennis Defeats UW-Whitewater 7-2, Saint Catherine University 9-0, And The University of Sioux Falls 7-2The Gustavus women's tennis team went an undefeated 3-0 on Saturday with a pair of 7-2 victories over non-conference opponents UW-Whitewater and the University of Sioux Falls in the Swanson Tennis Center, and a 9-0 road win over MIAC opponent Saint Catherine University in Lakeville, Minn. The Gusties move to 13-7 overall and remain undefeated in conference play with a record of 3-0.
The Gustavus men's tennis team improved to 7-4 overall on the season with non-conference wins over UW-Whitewater (7-2) and the University of Sioux Falls (8-1). Amrik Donkena and Tyler Johnson went undefeated in four matches on the day as Donkena went 2-0 at #1 singles and #1 doubles and Johnson was perfect at #4 singles and #1 doubles with Donkena.
Gymnastics Concludes Season With Seventh Place Finish At 2010 WIAC ChampionshipThe Gustavus gymnastics team registered 175.275 points to finish in seventh place at the 2010 WIAC Gymnastics Championship held Sunday afternoon on Gus Young Court in St. Peter, Minn. UW-Whitewater took home the 2010 WIAC Championship crown with 185.475 points. UW-La Crosse placed second (183.775), while Winona State University rounded out the top three in third (183.600).
Gustavus Gymnastics Team Set To Host 2010 WIAC Gymnastics ChampionshipThe Gustavus Adolphus gymnastics team is set to host the 2010 WIAC Women's Gymnastics Championship, which will be held on Sunday, March 7, at 3:00 pm in St. Peter, Minn. This will be the 37th WIAC Gymnastics Championship. The event will take place in the Lund Center Forum. Ticket prices are $8.00 for adults and $5.00 for students. Children 10 under and adults 65 and older are free.
The Gustavus gymnastics team fell to a strong UW-Whitewater squad 180.725-169.800 on Saturday afternoon in Whitewater, Wisc. Danielle Thibodeau had the top Gustavus finish of the day by taking second on the vault with a mark of 9.100. UW-Whitewater’s Katie Thompson took first place in the all-around with a score of 37.000.

Gustavus returns to action on Monday, March 23 against Pomona-Pitzer in Claremont, Calif. as the Gusties will play four matches in California in four days.
Women’s Gymnastics Finishes Second At Gustavus Triangular With Score Of 173.425The Gustavus women's gymnastics team finished second at the Gustavus Triangular with a score of 173.425 at the Lund Center Forum. The Gusties finished between Hamline University, which turned in a score of 169.800, and UW-Whitewater at 176.825. Individually, Gustavus was led by Aryn Bell, who posted a career best score of 9.350, winning the vault competition. Head Coach Kris Glidden's squad took first place on the balance beam at 44.975.
Women’s Tennis Defeats UW-Whitewater, Advances To Face Wheaton In Third RoundThe Gustavus women's tennis defeated UW-Whitewater 6-0 in the second round of the NCAA Regional Tournament on Friday afternoon in St. Peter. The host Gusties will face Wheaton on Saturday at 12 p.m. in St. Peter with the winner advancing to the NCAA Team Championships on May 13-15 at Gustavus. Gustavus improved to 23-8 overall, while UW-Whitewater finished its season at 21-9.
The Gustavus women's gymnastics team opened its season with a 170.550 to 180.875 loss at the Univeristy of Wisconsin - Whitewater. The Gusties top performance was recorded by Jessica Dolan who tied for second on the vault with a score of 9.275.
Men’s Soccer Plays To Wet 1-1 Tie Against UW-WhitewaterOn a wet, soggy day that featured a 30-minute rain delay, the Gustavus men's soccer team played to a 1-1 double overtime tie against UW-Whitewater in St. Peter on Sunday. Mike Butterworth scored the Gusties' lone goal on a long pass from Matt Strom eight minutes after the rain delay. UW-Whitewater countered three minutes later with a goal from Ryan Boyd with the assist going to Brett Acree. Gustavus is 10-2-1 overall, while UW-Whitewater moves to 11-1-1.
