Women’s Tennis Defeats St. Olaf 9-0, Secures 20th Straight MIAC Title

The Gustavus women's tennis team brought the regular season to a close with a 9-0 win over St. Olaf on Tuesday afternoon in St. Peter. With the victory, Gustavus locks up its 20th straight MIAC regular season title, improving to 17-9 overall and 10-0 in the MIAC.

Softball Earns Second Straight MIAC Sweep, Defeats St. Olaf 9-1, 3-0

The Gustavus softball team swept St. Olaf by scores of 9-1 and 3-0 on Monday afternoon in St. Peter. The Gusties improve to 11-9 overall and 5-0 in the MIAC, while St. Olaf falls to 5-15 overall and 2-3 in the MIAC. Kate Rentschler (10-6) picked up the win in game one and Erin Truebenbach (3-2) got the victory in game two. Lisa Klass and Dani Cattrysse each had three hits on the day.

Ruane’s Strong Second Half Lifts Women’s Basketball To 60-58 Victory Over St. Olaf

The Gustavus women's basketball team defeated St. Olaf by the score of 60-58 on Wednesday night in St. Peter, Minn. The Gusties were led by Colleen Ruane who turned in a career-high 22 points. Gustavus extends its winning-streak to five games with the victory, improving to 10-7 overall and 9-5 in the MIAC, while St. Olaf falls to 9-8 overall and 6-8 in the MIAC.

Comeback Falls Short, Men’s Hockey Drops Non-Conf. Test To St. Olaf 4-3

The Gustavus men's hockey team began the new year with a 4-3 non-conference loss at the hands of St. Olaf on Friday night in St. Peter, Minn. St. Olaf goalminder Nick Krauss came up with 37 saves on the way to the victory, handing Gustavus its fourth loss of the year. The Gusties are now 9-4-1 overall, while St. Olaf improves to 5-5-3.

Men’s Hockey Set To Kick Off New Year Against St. Olaf

The Gustavus men's hockey team will take on St. Olaf in its first contest of the new year on Friday at 7:30 p.m. in St. Peter, Minn.

Junior Ava Perry led the way with a game-high 15 points. 

Women’s Basketball Wins Double OT Thriller 67-58 Over St. Olaf

The Gustavus women’s basketball team came away with a thrilling 67-58 double-overtime victory over St. Olaf on Monday night in Northfield, Minn. With the victory, Gustavus improves to 3-3 overall and 2-1 in the MIAC. St. Olaf falls to 4-2 overall and 1-2 in the MIAC.

 

Men’s Swimming & Diving Falls 186-114 To St. Olaf

The Gustavus men’s swimming and diving team suffered a 186-114 setback in its first MIAC dual of the season to St. Olaf on Saturday afternoon in Northfield, Minn. The Gusties totaled five event wins and 18 top-three finishes at the meet.

 

Women’s Swimming & Diving Falls 156-138 To St. Olaf

The Gustavus women’s swimming and diving team dropped its first MIAC dual meet of the season by the score of 156-138 to St. Olaf on Saturday afternoon in Northfield, Minn. The Oles won 11-of-16 events, as Gustavus registered 27 top three finishes.

The Gustavus men’s hockey team battled St. Olaf to a 3-3 tie on Saturday night at Don Roberts Ice Rink. With the tie, the Gusties come away with three points over the weekend, moving to 4-1-1 overall and 1-0-1 in the MIAC. St. Olaf moves to 2-3-1 overall and 0-1-1 in the MIAC.

The Gustavus women's hockey team remained unbeaten on the young season with a 6-0 win over St. Olaf on a snowy Saturday afternoon in Northfield. The Gusties led 2-0 after one period and 4-0 through two periods before finishing with the 6-0 victory.
