The Gustavus Adolphus women's hockey team scored four power play goals and one short-handed goal to defeat Saint Mary's 6-1 on Friday night in Winona. Stefanie Ubl (Sr., Blaine, Minn.) recored a power play goal, a short-handed goal, and an assist in the victory as Gustavus moves to 5-1-0 overall and 3-0-0 in league play. Saint Mary's fell to 1-4-0 overall and 1-2-0 in the MIAC.

Volleyball Wins Season Finale Over Saint Mary’s 3-0

The Gustavus volleyball team ended its season Saturday afternoon by defeating Saint Mary's 3-0 in St. Peter. The Golden Gusties season ended since a Hamline win Friday night eliminated Gustavus from playoff contention. Defense was the difference in the match as Gustie blockers and back row players frustrated Saint Mary's offense throughout the contest. Three Gusties reached double-figures in kills, as Saint Mary's was outhit 38-52. More details to follow.

Women’s Soccer Rallies to Defeat Saint Mary’s 2-1

The Gustavus women's soccer team scored two goals in the second half including the game-winning goal by Ashley Voigtlander in the 82nd minute and held on for a 2-1 win over St. Mary's at the Gustavus Soccer Field on Wednesday afternoon. The Gusties improve to 5-4-0 overall and 1-3-0 in the MIAC.

Men’s Soccer Remains Unbeaten in MIAC with 2-0 Victory Over Saint Mary’s

The Gustavus men's soccer team posted its fifth consecutive shutout with a 2-0 victory over Saint Mary's Tuesday in Winona. Bret Vander Streek and Fraser Horton scored goals midway through the second half to put Gustavus on the board. Luke Strom and Trevor Brown combined to earn the shutout. Gustavus improved to 8-1-0 overall and 4-0-0 in the MIAC. Saint Mary's fell to 2-6-1 overall and 0-3-0 in MIAC play.

Softball Extends Win Streak To 18, Sweeps Saint Mary’s 2-0, 3-2

The Gustavus softball team swept Saint Mary's by scores of 2-0 and 3-2 on Thursday afternoon in St. Peter to extend its winning streak to 16 games. The Gusties are now 22-2 overall and 12-0 in the MIAC. Leading the way for the Gusties was senior pitcher Joyce DeWitz who pitched two complete games and allowed just nine hits while striking out 13. Julie Mahre and Emily Klien sparked the Gustie offensive attack as each player had three hits in the doubleheader.

Men’s Hockey Beats St. Mary’s 2-0, Remains Undefeated in MIAC

The Gustavus men's hockey team completed a two-game sweep of St. Mary's by shutting out the Cardinals 2-0 at Don Roberts Ice Rink. Tim Ornell (Jr., Lino Lakes, Minn.) and Eric Bigham (Fy., Robbinsdale, Minn.) each had a goal in the game and each assisted on the other's goal. The Gusties improve to 6-6-1 overall and a perfect 6-0-0 in the MIAC. St. Mary's falls to 3-7-1 overall and 1-4-1 in the conference.

Kelly Crandall (Sr., Plymouth, Minn.) led the Gusties with three goals and Stefanie Ubl (Jr., Blaine, Minn.) recorded her third goal of the season. Gustavus improves 6-1-0 overall and 5-0-0 in the MIAC. The Cardinals fall to 2-5-2 overall and 2-2-1 in the MIAC.
