The Gustavus softball team wrapped up regular season conference play with a doubleheader sweep of St. Ben's in St. Joseph on Saturday afternoon. The Gusties won game one 10-0 and then claimed game two 5-0. Dani Cattrysse sparked the Gustavus offense as she was 4-for-4 at the plate with six RBI in the two games.

The Blazer's hit two free throws with 06 seconds left to claim the thrilling victory. Molly Geske led all scorers with 23 points.

Strong First Period Gives Women’s Hockey 4-0 Win Over Saint Benedict

The Gustavus women's hockey team scored three first period goals on it's way to a 4-0 win over Saint Benedict Saturday afternoon in St. Peter, Minn. Freshman Lindsey Hjelm scored two of the three first period goals, while assisting on the lone second period goal by Alyssa Saunders, giving her a total of three points on the day. With the win, Gustavus completes the weekend sweep, gaining four points and moving to 8-3-2 overall and 5-2-1 in the MIAC.

Five Goal Third Period Allows Women’s Hockey To Defeat St. Ben’s 7-1

The Gustavus women's hockey team broke open a tight game with five goals in the third period and claimed a 7-1 win over St. Benedict at the Municipal Athletic Complex in St. Cloud on Friday night. Meagan Wanecke led the Gusties with two goals and one assist, while Emily Klatt picked up the win in goal.

Women’s Basketball Holds Off Late Rally To Defeat St. Ben’s 66-63

The Gustavus women’s basketball team escaped with a 66-63 victory over Saint Benedict Monday night in St. Peter, Minn. The Blazers outscored the Gusties 40-25 in the second half, but it was not enough to overcome an 18-point first half deficit as the Gusties claimed the important conference victory. The win leaves Gustavus in sole possession of first place in the MIAC at 10-1. Bri Radtke led all scorers with 18 points.

Women’s Nordic Skiing Takes Third At Minnesota College Relays

The Gustavus women's nordic ski team took third place with 15 points at the Minnesota College Relays Sunday afternoon in Collegeville, Minn. The pair of Erica Hett and Erin Eppler led the team with a fifth place finish, crossing the finish line in 1:13.44. The University of Alaska-Fairbanks won the meet with 23 points.

Women’s Hockey Completes Sweep Of St. Ben’s With 4-1 Win In St. Peter

The Gustavus women's hockey team scored three power play goals on its first four power play opportunities and cruised to a 4-1 conference win over St. Ben's on Saturday afternoon at Don Roberts Ice Rink in St. Peter. Jessie Doig led the Gusties in scoring with two goals, while Danielle Justice picked up the win in the nets. Gustavus is now 14-1-3 overall and 10-0-2 in the MIAC.

Women’s Hockey Stays Atop MIAC Standings With 5-1 Win At Saint Benedict

The Gustavus women's hockey scored two power play goals and a short-handed goal on its way to a 5-1 win over the College of Saint Benedict in St. Cloud on Friday night. The Gusties were clinging to a 2-1 lead in the second period when Kathryn DelZoppo scored a power play goal at the 11:53 mark to extend the lead to 3-1. In the third period the Gusties added to their lead with a power play goal by Gracie Olson (1:48) and a short-handed tally by Allie Schwab (7:59).

Women’s Basketball Stumbles In Second Half, Falls to St. Ben’s 68-45

Leading at halftime 26-25, the Gustavus women's basketball team was outscored by host St. Ben's 43-19 in the final 20 minutes and suffered a disappointing 68-45 defeat in St. Joseph. The Gusties, who entered the game tied with St. Ben's and Concordia for first place, fell to third place with the loss at 10-4 overall and 8-3 in the MIAC. Emily Nelson scored 10 points to lead Gustavus.

Women’s Soccer Team Falls to St. Benedict 1-0

The Gustavus women's soccer team fell to 4-4 overall and 0-3 in the MIAC with a 1-0 loss to the College of St. Benedict on Saturday afternoon. The Blazers got a goal from Allyson Draxler in the 15th minute of the match and that was all they would need to slip past the Gusties. Goalkeeper Chelsea Bayer made 11 saves for Gustavus.
