Kimbra Kosak and Rachel Roberg Named NGCA All-American Scholars

The National Golf Coaches Association All-American Scholar Team was recently announced with a total of 56 Division III women's collegiate golfers, including Kimbra Kosak and Rachel Roberg of Gustavus, recognized with this prestigious honor. The criteria for selection to the All-American Scholar Team includes a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.50 and student-athletes must have competed in at least 66% of the college's regularly scheduled competitive rounds during the year.

Women’s Golf Finishes Second at MIAC Championships

The Gustavus women's golf team finished second at the 2007 MIAC Championships which were held at Bunker Hills Golf Course in Coon Rapids, Minnesota. The Gusties fired a 54-hole total of 326-318-342--986 and finished 19 shots behind St. Thomas which recorded a score of 322-316-329-967. Gustavus was led by Rachel Roberg, who placed third with a total of 81-79-82--242.

Golfer Rachel Roberg Named Co-MIAC Women’s Player of the Week

Gustavus Adolphus College senior Rachel Roberg (Rice Lake, Wis.) fired rounds of 78-79 to tie for first place in the Division III Midwest Classic this past weekend hosted by Carleton College and played at Troy Burne Golf Club in Hudson, Wis. Roberg was the only player to shoot in the 70's for both rounds, as she led Gustavus to a four-shot victory after being behind by 12 strokes after day one.

Women’s Golf Rallies to Win Division III Midwest Classic, Roberg Ties for Medalist Honors

The Gustavus women's golf team turned in one of its finest rounds of the season in very difficult conditions and the result was an impressive four shot win over St. Thomas at the Division III Midwest Classic hosted by Carleton and played at Troy Burne Golf Club in Hudson, Wis. Senior Rachel Roberg tied for first individually with a 36-hole total of 78-79--157.

Women’s Golf Finishes Second at MWCGA State Tournament – Roberg, Griggs Earn Awards

The Gustavus women's golf team finished second at the Minnesota Collegiate Women's Golf Association (MWCGA) State Tournament, which was played at Pebble Creek Golf Club in Becker, Minnesota on April 21-22. The Gusties fired a 36-hole total of 328-317—645 and finished six shots behind first place St. Thomas. Breanne Staples finished second individually to lead Gustavus. Rachel Roberg was named Player of the Year and Kali Griggs was named Freshman of the Year by a vote of the MWCGA coaches.
