Gymnastics Sends Four to NCGA National Championships

The Gustavus Adolphus gymnastics team will send four individuals to compete in this year's National Collegiate Gymnastics Association (NCGA) Championships March 23-24 at University of Wisconsin-Whitewater in Whitewater, Wis. Brittany Moore will participate on the vault, Laura Hansen will compete on the uneven bars, Christine Askham on the floor exercise, and Nicole Gergen will compete on both the balance beam and the floor exercise.

Gymnastics Takes Seventh at WIAC Championships/NCGA West Regional

The Gustavus Adolphus gymnastics team posted a seventh-place finish at the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Championships Thursday at Mitchell Hall on the campus of University of Wisconsin-La Crosse. The Gusties finished with a team score of 177.050, its second highest mark of the season. The meet also serves as the West Regional for the National Collegiate Gymnastics Association Championships. Brittany Moore tied for second on the vault with a 9.550.

Groff Named NGCA 2nd Team All-American; Kosak Takes Freshman Honor

The National Golf Coaches Association Wednesday announced the 2005-06 student-athlete and coaches awards for Division III Women's Collegiate Golf. Winners were recognized at the NGCA Division III Awards Banquet held in Howey-in-the-Hills, Florida. Gustavus Adolphus senior Kelli Groff was named Second Team All-American, while first-year Kimbra Kosak was honored as Division III Freshman of the Year. Both players were also named to the All-Region IV squad.

Brittany Moore Places Ninth in Vault Finals at NCGA Championships

Gustavus Adolphus junior Brittany Moore capped off the Golden Gustie gymnastics season with a ninth place finish in the vault Saturday at the National Collegiate Gymnastics Association Championships in Brockport, New York. Moore, who finished 11th last year on the vault, posted a score of 9.525 in the finals. That score, combined with Friday's qualifying score of 9.425, left Moore with a two-day total of 18.950.
