Women’s Track and Field Scores 198, Wins At Carleton

The Gustie women's track and field team continued its indoor season with a win at Carleton's Meet of Hearts, held on Saturday, February 12, in Northfield. Gustavus posted eight first-place finishes on the day to win the meet with a total of 198 points.

Helland, Lundgren Lead Women’s Track and Field At Ted Nelson Classic

Seniors Janey Helland and Megan Lundgren led the Gustavus women's indoor track and field team at the Ted Nelson Classic held at Minnesota State University, Mankato on Saturday. Helland won the long jump with a leap of 18 feet, 3 1/4 inches, while Lundgren won the 400 meter run in a time of 1:01.24.

The Gusties were led by Janey Helland who won the heptathlon with a NCAA qualifying total of 3,503 points and Megan Lundgren who won the 800 meter run in a time of 2:20.48.

The Gustavus volleyball team slipped past Bethany Lutheran College 3-0 in Mankato on Monday evening. All three sets were very competitive with the Gusties prevailing 25-23, 26-24, and 25-22. Angela Ahrendt and Janey Helland led the Gustavus attack with eight kills each.
