Softball Sweeps St. Olaf 8-0, 12-2The Gustavus softball team extended its winning streak to 12 games by sweeping St.Olaf by the scores of 8-0 and 12-2 Monday afternoon in St Peter. The Gusties improved to 16-2 overall and 8-0 in the MIAC. Rachael Click led Gustavus offensively as she went 4-for-6 with a home run and eight RBI in the two games. Betsie Collins threw a three-hit shutout in game one, while Callie Nelsen scattered four hits and picked up the win in game two.
Men’s Basketball Rides Hot Shooting to 80-57 Win Over ConcordiaThe Gustavus Adolphus men's basketball team shot 61.5% from the field and held a 2-to-1 advantage in rebounds en route to a 80-57 win over Concordia Monday in St. Peter. Andrew Doble led four Gusties in double-figures with 14 points on 6-of-8 shooting off the bench. The Gusties (12-9, 10-6 MIAC) host league-leader St. Thomas (20-2, 16-1 MIAC) Wednesday at Gus Young Court.
Football Holds on for 41-27 Victory over Augsburg in Final Game at Gustavus StadiumThe Gustavus Adolphus football team closed out Gustavus Stadium with a 41-27 victory over Augsburg Saturday in the final game to be played on the site. The Gusties led 34-0, but the Auggies scored four straight possessions in the second half to cut the lead to 34-27 before Jordan Stolp connected with high school teammate Tom Johnson on a 10-yard touchdown strike with 3:22 to play. Gustavus improves to 4-4 on the season, 2-4 in the MIAC, while Augsburg drops to 0-8 overall, 0-6 in the league.

Men’s Soccer Advances to National Championship Final With 2-1 Win Over WhitworthThe Gustavus men's soccer team advanced to the NCAA Division III Men's Soccer Championship Match against defending national champion Messiah with a 2-1 win over Whitworth College. The national championship match will take place at 4 p.m. (CST) Saturday afternoon in Greensboro, N.C. Sophomore Jeffrey Johnson scored the game-winner with 15 minutes to play in regulation.
Men’s Soccer Selected for NCAA Championship FieldThe Gustavus men's soccer team has been selected to the field for the 2005 NCAA Division III Men's Soccer Championships for the third consecutive season. The Gusties, one of 17 at-large selections, will travel to Whitewater, Wisconsin to face Hope College (Mich.) in a first round match-up this weekend. Host UW-Whitewater will face Wheaton (Ill.) at 11 a.m. on Friday, November 11, with the Hope-Gustavus match to follow at 1:30 p.m. The winners will play on Saturday, November 12 at 1 p.m.
Women’s Soccer Tops Bethel 3-1The Gustavus women's soccer team fell behind by a goal in the first five minutes, but rebounded to notch a 3-1 victory over Bethel University on Friday afternoon in St. Peter. The Gusties moved to 7-10-1 overall, 4-6-1 in the MIAC with the win in the season finale. Bethel rounds out their season at 6-10-2, 1-8-2 in the conference.
