Groff Named MIAC Women’s Golfer of the Week

For the second time this season, Kelli Groff from Gustavus Adolphus College has earned the MIAC women's golfer of the week award. The defending MIAC champion fired a 36-hole total of two-over par 146 to win the Division III Midwest Classic. The 36-hole score is a Gustavus school record, as was her final round of even-par 72. Groff's performance helped the Gusties win the 10-team event with a school-record 36-hole total of 624, including a final-round 311, an 18-hole school record score.

Women’s Golf Wins Midwest Classic in Record Fashion

The Gustavus women's golf team dusted off their erasers and rewrote the record book for the second consecutive day en route to winning the Midwest Classic on Saturday. The Gusties set new team 18-hole and 36-hole records after firing 313-311--624 to outdistance University of St. Thomas by 15 strokes. Senior Kelli Groff (Bloomington, Minn.) took medalist honors, setting new individual 18-hole and 36-hole marks, after shooting 74-72--146 during the weekend.

Women’s Golf Ties for Fifth at Concordia Invitational

The Gustavus women's golf team compiled a team score of 338-333—671 to finish in a fifth-place tie at the 16-team Concordia Invitational. The 36-hole event was held at Wildflower Golf Club in Detroit Lakes, Minn. Southwest State fired a team score of 326-316—642 to take the team title by one stoke over the University of North Dakota. St. Thomas finished four strokes back at 327-319—646, while Minnesota State University-Mankato ended tied at 671 with the Gusties.
