Women’s Golf Leads After 36 Holes at Winona State Invitational

The Gustavus women's golf team holds a nine-stroke lead after day one of the Best Western Riverport Inn Collegiate Classic hosted by Winona State University. 36 holes were played Saturday with Gustavus posting rounds of 328 and 323 for a 651 total, leading host Winona State (327-333--660) and St. Thomas (337-331--668). The tournament will conclude with 18 holes on Sunday morning at Cedar Valley G.C. in Winona.

Senior Kelli Groff has been named Second Team All-American and All-Region IV by the NGCA. 

Groff Named NGCA 2nd Team All-American; Kosak Takes Freshman Honor

The National Golf Coaches Association Wednesday announced the 2005-06 student-athlete and coaches awards for Division III Women's Collegiate Golf. Winners were recognized at the NGCA Division III Awards Banquet held in Howey-in-the-Hills, Florida. Gustavus Adolphus senior Kelli Groff was named Second Team All-American, while first-year Kimbra Kosak was honored as Division III Freshman of the Year. Both players were also named to the All-Region IV squad.
