The Gustavus women's basketball team defeated Concordia 59-53 on Saturday afternoon in Moorhead, Minn., earning Head Coach Mickey Haller her 200th career victory. The Gusties currently the hottest team in the MIAC with a five-game winning-streak under their belt. Gustavus improves to 11-7 overall and 10-5 in the MIAC with the victory, while the Cobbers fall to 13-5 overall and 11-4 in the MIAC.

Women’s Basketball Suffers Narrow 75-72 Loss To Concordia

The Gustavus Adolphus women’s basketball team suffered a nail-biting 75-72 defeat at the hands of Concordia on Saturday afternoon in St. Peter, Minn. With the win, Concordia improves to 4-0 overall and 2-0 in the MIAC, while Gustavus falls to 2-3 overall and 1- in the MIAC.

Volleyball Comes Up Just Short In Tough 3-2 Loss To Concordia

The Gustavus volleyball team pushed #18 Concordia to the limit on Friday night in St. Peter, but could not close the deal and lost to the Cobbers 3-2. The set scores were 25-19, 13-25, 25-21, 17-25, 7-15.

Logan Becker was 21-29 for 256 yards through the air, while carrying 14 times for 41 yards in Gustavus's 38-14 victory over Concordia 

Offense Ignites As Football Defeats Concordia 38-14

The Gustavus Adolphus football team got the offensive spark it was looking for on Saturday in Moorhead, Minn., cruising to a 38-14 victory over Concordia in its first road test of the season. Quarterback Logan Becker scored three touchdowns (2 pass, 1 rush), while attributing for 297 yards of offense, throwing for 256 yards (21-29) and rushing for 41 yards (14 att.) in the game.

Football Set To Face Concordia In First Road Test

The Gustavus Adolphus football team will travel to Moorhead, Minn. to take on the Cobbers of Concordia on Saturday, Oct. 2 at 1:00 p.m. The game will be the first road test for the Gusties as they are coming off a three-game home stand to start the season. Gustavus enters the game with at 1-2 overall and 0-1 in the MIAC, while Concordia is 1-3 overall and 0-2 in the MIAC.

Men’s Outdoor Track & Field Takes First At Carleton Relays

The Gustavus men’s outdoor track and field team compiled 159.5 points to take first place at the Carleton Relays held at Laird Stadium on the campus of Carleton College in Northfield, Minn. The Gusties registered nine top-three finishes in the track events and seven top three finishes in the field events at the meet. Concordia placed second with 127.5 points, as Hamline rounded out the top three in third with 109 points.

Pitching Staff Shines As Softball Team Sweeps Concordia 6-0, 12-0

The Gustavus softball team used strong pitching performances from Betsie Collins, Erin Truebenbach, and Callie Nelsen to shut down Concordia 6-0 and 12-0 at the Gustie Softball Field on Wednesday afternoon. Gustavus is now 16-6 overall and 9-1 in the MIAC.

The Gustavus women's tennis team posted a 5-1 record on Saturday with a 9-0 wins over Bethel, Concordia, Macalester, and MSU-Moorhead, a 8-1 victory over Bemidji State, and a 5-2 lost to the University of North Dakota.

Women’s Indoor Track & Field Takes First At CSB Quad

The Gustavus women’s indoor track and field team compiled 166.5 points to take first place at the College of Saint Benedict Quadrangular held Saturday afternoon in Collegeville, Minn. Kaelene Lundstrum was the top Gustavus performer at the meet, winning the 55-meter hurdles (8.98) and high jump (5’ 3”), while taking fifth in the shot put (38’ 9.75”).
