Men’s Tennis To Face Washington University In NCAA Division III Team Championships

The Gustavus Adolphus College men's tennis team will participate in the NCAA Division III Men's Tennis Championships Tuesday-Sunday, May 19-24 at the Biszantz Family Tennis Center in Claremont, Calif. Claremont-Mudd-Scripps is the host institution. Gustavus will face Washington University in St. Louis in a quarterfinal match at 12 pm (CDT), Tuesday, May 19. Individual competition in singles and doubles will follow team competition May 22-24.

Men’s Tennis Falls To Claremont-Mudd-Scripps 6-3

The Gustavus men's tennis team was unable to extend a 2-1 lead after doubles play as Claremont-Mudd-Scripps defeated the Gusties 6-3 in the quarterfinals of the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Division III Indoor Championships at the Swanson Tennis Center on Friday. Gustavus, which entered the tournament as the defending champion, suffered its first loss in the quarterfinal round for the first time in the event's nine-year history.

Men’s Tennis Squeezes Past Claremont-Mudd-Scripps 4-3

The Gustavus men's team, which recently moved into the top spot in the Fila/ITA NCAA Division III men's tennis rankings, registered wins in four of six singles matches against third-rated Claremont-Mudd-Scripps and held on to win 4-3 Tuesday in Palm Springs, California. Adam Morgan and Brett Morse-Karzen each picked up singles wins while also teaming to register a 8-4 win at #1 doubles.
