The Beavers hit a walk-off three-run home run in the seventh inning to win game one and scored six runs in the bottom of the sixth inning for the victory in game two. Gustavus fell to 3-3 overall, while Buena Vista improved its record to 5-1.

Men’s Soccer Holds On For 3-2 Win At Buena VistaThe Gustavus men's soccer team jumped out to a 3-1 lead against non-conference foe Buena Vista on Sunday, but then had to hold off a late charge from the Beavers to claim a 3-2 win in Storm Lake, Iowa. The Gusties got goals from Max Malmquist, Fraser Horton, and Chris Golv, while Luke Strom picked up the win in goal. Gustavus is now 12-4-1 on the season.
The Gustavus women's soccer team exploded for eight goals, five in the second half, en route to an 8-0 win over the Beavers from Buena Vista University in Storm Lake, Iowa Sunday afternoon. Senior Ashley Voigtlander scored the winning goal just 62 seconds into the match and Ashley Ohlson got the shutout in goal for the Gusties. Gustavus improves its season record to 7-7-3, while Buena Vista drops to 2-15-0 on the season.
The Gustavus volleyball team picked up two wins at the IIAC-MIAC Border Battle with 3-1 victories over Coe and Buena Vista in Indianola, Iowa on Saturday. Four players finished with double-digit kills in both matches to help the Gusties overcome injuries to add to the win column. Bridget Burtzel compiled 99 assists and 25 digs for the day. Gustavus improves to 14-6 overall after playing four matches in 24-hours.

Due to the forecast of cold temperatures over the weekend, Saturday's MIAC baseball doubleheader between Gustavus and Hamline has been moved to Monday, April 9 at 1:30 p.m. in St. Peter. The nonconference baseball doubleheader with Buena Vista originally scheduled for Monday has been moved to Sunday, April 29.
